Re: Cheltenham Town Quiz
14 for me. Not convinced many people have ever referred to CTFC v Exeter and FGR as "West Country derby matches." The most-contrived 'derby' has to be the 'M69 derby' between Leicester and Coventry. Sent from my SM-G9860 using Tapatalk Most Sky Blues fans would consider Villa to be their ...

Re: No relegation
Lock-down only applies to the particularly vulnerable (eg those with pre-existing respiratory diseases), or those who have symptoms, and they are not allowed to leave their homes at all. My brother has asthma and emphysema and is in his first week of a 12 week lockdown since receiving his letter fro...

Re: No relegation
Social distancing, lockdown and self- isolation will "flatten the curve", but will also push the peak to a later date, which if anything will delay any restart rather than ring it forward.

Well worth a listen to this podcast. If you watch the EFL highlights on Ques you will be familiar with Ally Maxwell. Always well inforrmed and researched. The latest pod is about their choice for top 5 EFL managers this season in which Duff comes second behind Mark Robins and they are very complemen...

If you think being lied to over and over again in the build up to a very important election by one of the main parties is trivial, then you can't have much interest in what is happening to your country. They didn't lie to me. Of course they did - they can't open their mouths without lying and disse...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Bradford City
I'd be a bit happier if we did not look so vulnerable at the back, especially on the counter. For all our wonderful play and greater possession, lets not lose sight of the fact Bradford had as many shots as we did, and we were lucky not to concede more to their counterattacking. We've had to come fr...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Tranmere Rovers
Yet the ‘poor’ Thomas produced what I read was a great assist, so without him we may not have gone in front? Yeovil, Cambridge and Macclesfield all winning away from home. Just five points the gap now between us and Macclesfield. We have to fill the defensive holes. Was Hussey playing in the centra...

Sorry to see him go but its probably the right move for both of us. Form has dropped off since the New Year (same as last season) and GJ seems determined to play him out of position (as he does Winnie).

Re: Sellars
In my opinion, both Sellars and Mo are better than L1 standard. I can't recall seeing such close control in a player in L2 or L1 as Sellars has. As for Mo, a natural goalscorer. The back-lift on his shots against Chesterfield was almost non-existent. That explains why both efforts bounced before th...

Re: Ratings v Swindon
Wrong kind of game for Mo who was too lightweight with balls played in high to him down the centre against two physically strong STFC centre backs. He should have been moved to wide right to help the team get in round the back. His pace would have pulled the well drilled opposition out of shape as ...

Our free kicks have generally been terrible since Pack left. Other teams seem to able to score against us from well-taken free kicks - why cant we?As a team at the bottom, practising attacking free kicks should be a priority. The defence has yet to register a goal and only Dawson has contributed fro...

Re: Some thoughts on the Stevenage game
I don't get all this '442 or 352' debate. We need to be adaptable to game conditions and respond to how our opposition play. But at home, we should not be starting 3 centre halves as you lose an attacking option. Away from home, yes maybe. What we want is a squad and formation that makes the opposi...

The proposals do not seem to address the non-league pyramid below the new L3. There's been suggestions today that 1) it should be regional, and 2) L2/3 should be same level but regional (L2 North and South)!

Re: Reorganization of the Football league coming 2019/20
Never mind the loss of gate receipts from 4 fewer home games (and for many clubs 'dropping' a division I would have thought lower crowds) I'm also wondering what impact this will have on sponsorship deals. Fewer games means less brand exposure, so surely lower sponsorship deals? Loss of match relate...

Any new player coming in needs to be on a par with or better than Wright in my eyes. No point signing a player not better than we have. Not quite Mal - it's about trafficking of people to work illegally in slave conditions in egg factories as that is the only way supermarkets can get eggs cheap enough for the average British consumer. Same as milk where consumers want it below the cost of what farmers can produce it for. I'm not su...

That would probably not be unreasonable but you asked four times 'which players...' were approached etc. For what its worth, I don't think the team was dismantled, which implies deliberate action. The best players - Thomas, Pack, Summerfield, McGlashan, Mohammed, Brown, Cureton, chose to leave. I'm ...
