I wonder if today result is pivotal to what MG does next?
Loose and he sacks Flynn, win and he backs Flynn and disposes of Johnson & Downes.
Hopefully we win, even more so if it removes Johnson

Re: Paul Baker
This is very unwise from PB imo. Merely fans the flames further. If you're going to laud your DOF on this basis you cannot simply cite one example. It reeks of recency bias (a sensible appraisal has to be based on the full body of work not a single - recent- situation) not to mention an apparent de...

Re: What is our first choice team right now?
I quite like Blackwell and I’d have him in my matchday squad.
Always seems to have energy and puts himself about which helps put opponents under pressure
If fit I’d have Sherring & Wilson as my main CB pairing with either Bennett or Maz in a 3

Re: Immediate resignation
The whole appointment of Downes felt wrong. Didn’t rip up trees as coach here the last time, then, alongside Johnson, nearly took Torquay into the Southern League. This is like a replay of the Shaun North situation, I believe the coaching staff should be appointment of the manager/head coach. An int...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Bromley
When are the contracts of Flynn and Downes up? I know Flynn was announced it was a 2 year and I’ve not seen anything about a renewal. I can’t see anything for Downes, so guessing it was the same (unless Johnson was behind it in which case it’s probably a 5 year deal!) I wouldn’t be surprised if ther...

Re: Milton Keynes v Cheltenham Town
I can’t see Flynn being moved on just yet (like others have said, I’d not be bothered if they all were) but 4 of the next 5 league games are against teams we’d be expecting to compete with. A poor points return from those and Flynn might be under more pressure. I think the whole football management ...

I know money talks but I’m a little surprised Alfie didn’t want to stay at Birmingham. Having come into the professional game that little bit later and worked hard to get there I’d have thought he might want to fight for a place and play in the championship.

Re: Falling behind in summer recruitment.
The best case scenario is that the takeover happens which allows a small boost to the budget that allows a couple or four really good loan signings and/or maybe a permanent that is prepared to sign a short term deal. If the takeover doesn’t materialise then it’s going to be a gargantuan task to rema...

Re: Major ownership development
I genuinely can’t see a new main stand ever happening but I could see the current structure undergoing major refurbishment like what they did at Plymouth and their mayflower stand. Almost identical in fact just on a smaller scale. New and modern dressing rooms in the corner in place of the existing ...

Re: Major ownership development
Hopefully the MG takeover proceeds and completes and if so, I’ve full confidence that we’ll be looking ahead once again rather than constantly checking over our shoulder and hoping for 2 teams worse than us! I don’t think the budget needs massively subsidising but a little extra would go a long way ...

Re: Investment update
I sort of agree with Iheareye here in that I don’t think Whaddon Road will ever generate huge off field revenues, I think the best we can do is maximise on match days with some other occasional events added in such as the concerts we’ve held. If investment was to come which meant the club in the fut...

I’ll always remember the time Derek Payne flipped after being substituted in a game after being sent off and ran back to start swinging at the player/physio!
Memory is hazy to say the least, but I’m going to say it was versus Merthyr Tydfil in the season we were relegated from the conference?

When we had the triple loan from Bristol City of Taylor Moore, Freddie Hinds & Joe Morrell, I was expecting Hinds to do well (didn’t really do much) but it was Morrell who I thought was the clear standout and he’s done ok since too!

I think better facilities including a new main stand and better PRE would most certainly see an increase in attendances. There’s no reason the club can’t achieve 4 - 4500 homes fans regularly.

Re: January loans agreed
OK so Stubbs is here for the season but has a recall clause but Bradford have made clear that they don't want him. So our risk is that another club makes a permanent offer which Bradford accept, not impossible but I would imagine far from likely given he's out of contract in the summer. If he’s out...

I know it’s extremely unlikely but even if there were funds available, there isn’t that much land around for a new stadium, certainly not centralish and a lot of the land around the golden valley is going to be costly as it’s earmarked for development (cyber hub, housing etc) If the club could purch...

Re: New stand development
Our home attendances haven’t been too bad but for the club to remain competitive in the EFL it’s imperative any new owners can address the ground & training ground developments. As has been said many a time, the PRE & Main Stand need to be suitable for modern day football but to do so we’ll ...

Whilst Colwill & Stubbs were the standouts I also thought Kinsella, Bradbury & Young put in strong performances last night.

Oddly I think Lee Johnson would get more of a tune from this squad than Flynn currently is and at least we’d have a united front with the DoF and team management.

Re: Michael Flynn after Swindon defeat
I actually don’t think the squad is quite as bad as our position suggests and I think a new boss gets more of a tune out of them. I agree with Flynn that we were the better team to start, but after that calamity where Stubbs hits Shipley and the ball nearly goes in, the game turned. After that we lo...

Zero leadership at the top and the complete lack of communication infers they can’t be arsed either.
If the club take up the Trust offer of a strategic review, the people carrying out that review will have a field day.

Its great seeing the home core support rising as I want to see the club thrive but since giving up our STs a couple of seasons ago, I’ve only been a handful of times and apathy has set in for me.
