Re: Open Letter to the Board

There’s a lot of talk about the role of the council but they’ve been supportive of the club in loaning money for the Solar panels. When it comes to the new stands it’s the additional land not owned by the council that the club want that’s a problem! Any new stand is about generating extra revenue bu...

Re: TONIGHT: 2023/24 Club Annual Shareholders Meeting and Fans’ Forum

Regarding further investment, whilst none of us know what approaches the club may have received in recent times what might not help is seeing how previous directors have ended up leaving in a short space of time. Richard Lewis and Andy Wilcox started as sponsors before becoming Directors and both ar...

Re: TONIGHT: 2023/24 Club Annual Shareholders Meeting and Fans’ Forum

The only plan the board have is to hopefully get lucky with a cup run or cash windfall because in terms of development plans, there clearly isn’t one. Unfortunately when the board went the way of (hand picked) volunteers instead of investors, some business acumen went with it. Just my opinion but we...

Another good podcast chaps, it’s a weekly highlight for me these days so cheers for what you do in putting it together. Re: Darrell Clarke after Oxford United defeat

I think we’ll be ok in L2. I’m sure the new TV deal kicks in next season which is a huge hike on the current one which might mean, even by going down, we don’t lose out too much, if at all. If we are able to keep the playing budget as is then hopefully we can make it stretch a bit more. We might be ...

Re: £531000 operating loss

I found it quite funny when Clive said the main stand project was long term and Pete Matthews said it’s been long term for a long term! For me the most frustrating thing in the whole main stand redevelopment saga is, if we can’t afford a new main (which I completely get) then what are we going to do...

I don’t think a hotel chain would be attracted to CTFC in the current location, I think the only feasible way to get the main stand (and PRE) developed is a three way partnership between the Club, Council and Parklands. I thought it was the case now that if you had a skill that appealed to the board, then you could be invited to join. Three solid midfielders, but that’s it, solid.
