Re: Stevenage v Cheltenham Town
No doubt in my mind that if we’d managed to have kept Alfie we’d still be in League One!

Re: Cheltenham Town v Lincoln City
We still have a chance, ok it’s a slim one but what a triumph it would be if we did the impossible and picked up enough points to stay up. Unlikely but we have a couple of days to learn that the best way to score goals is not to hit the ball into the keepers arms but to hit the ball out of his reach...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Lincoln City
Another goal given away. We had something like seven defenders standing there watching their player hit the ball in the net, not one of them went to block the shot. Such poor defending.

Terrific second half performance. Playing like we meant it!
Just like we were playing a few games ago. We have given ourselves a chance that didn’t look likely last week. Well done Darrell and the lads!

Re: Cheltenham Town v Bristol Rovers
Darrell Clarke is a good manager with a good track record. You could take the best manager in the World and put them in charge of our lot and they would struggle to get a win. We have too many players who are just not League One quality. A Manager can only do so much, they’re not miracle workers.

Re: Cheltenham Town v Carlisle United
Now the dust has settled...... The crowd wanted more than the players. (Taken from another tread on here) Not for the first time. When you sell all your strikers for peanuts...don't be surprised if you can't score. We have played most of the season with no Strikers. Very sad. Very true, that’s why ...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Carlisle United
Pathetic. Absolutely no goal threat what so ever. No surprise after selling the goal scorers. Accept relegation and rebuild a competitive squad again after a mass clearout in May Yes. Not only do we not have a consistent goal scorer(s) but the passes into the box are just ‘hit and hope’ rather than...

Re:8 Cheltenham Town v Carlisle United
Wow, that is some change to the starting line up. Davies and Bradbury as a 2 at the back?! Ferry, Lloyd and Keena on the bench... Nuttall starts alone up top, and Thomas and Harrop get their first starts as well. What a time to get it... Let's pray this doesn't backfire bigtime. Just a comment on t...

Re: Leyton Orient v Cheltenham Town
We just don’t have anyone who can put away the few chances that we make. We should have scored early on, bloody good chance but not taken……..and there’s yet another decent chance not taken! Is there nobody in the Cheltenham League that can stick the ball in the net on a regular basis that we can bor...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Exeter City
You’ve been Premiership Brainwashed.
Just because Thomas didn’t squeal like a stuck pig and roll around on the floor clutching his leg with one hand an batting the floor with the other, doesn’t mean that it wasn’t a bad tackle.

Re: Cheltenham Town v Exeter City
The ref didn't cost us that game. I thought the pen was harsh - but the one he booked Thomas for diving...not sure he wasn't right, tbh. Thomas barely complained, and that was telling. Also, he didn't send off Nuttall for a pretty horrendous late challenge. What cost us was the fact that we had to ...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Exeter City
Disgraceful Refereeing. You can bet your life that if it was Bolton or Derby at home in front of a big crowd that penalty would have been given. It’s happening far too often. It’s almost like they’re being told which teams the League want to see relegated!

Re: Oxford United v Cheltenham Town
How is it that every time one of their player’s hits the deck they get a free kick but when our players get fouled and go down we get nothing. Is it because they roll about and squeal and we don’t.

Re: Cheltenham Town v Charlton Athletic
We made one or two half decent chances but couldn’t put them away. Quality up front is the main difference between teams at the top and bottom of leagues as we found out with Alfie May last season. We haven’t been able to replace him and are paying for it. Ok, I know it’s ‘old hat’ but it’s true, Ma...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Burton Albion
We need more quality up front. We just lob the ball hopefully into the box rather than playing it
specifically and win very few headers.
It’s all a bit ‘hit and hope’.
Round the front of the box we take the option of passing out to the wing rather than creating a shooting opportunity.

Re: Cheltenham Town v Burton Albion
We’ve had a decent amount of the ball but really lack a bit of quality when it comes to playing the ball into the box. Same problem with our set pieces.
Another dreadful reffing decision with Lloyds penalty decision.

Re: Wycombe Wanderers v Cheltenham Town
Let’s be realistic. We’ve had a very good run recently but we’re not going to win every game or even pick up a point! I think last night’s game may well be a lesson for any players who think we’ve ‘arrived’ and just have to turn up to win games in League One. Couple that with referees who feel that ...

Re: Wigan Athletic v Cheltenham Town
That’s the sort of game that, pre DC, we would have taken the lead, lost the lead and gone on to lose the game. It wasn’t a classic performance from either side but we battled away and held on to a valuable point. Neither keeper had a lot to do which sums up the performance from both sides. We are u...
