I saw on twitter someone said they looked at his LinkedIn and he doesn't seem to stay anywhere for long, so longmover might be right  On the other hand this might be the job he's always been looking for........... He can park his caravan in the car park when Bences lorries have gone ? Ve...

Re: New head of commercial operations
I hope this works out (obviously we all do). Based on our experience of seeing people appointed to the role then it'll be interesting to see how long he lasts. On LinkedIn, he's put the following under his current role description: "To lead ,create and execute a strategic commercial strategy a...

Two o'clock kickoffs would save some electricity money if brought in after the clocks change. Also more chance of getting home safely in winter. Something Fans organisations should consider.

Re: Cost of relegation .
Do the numbers suggest we lose more revenue than the £250k we got for May? We don’t know of course if asking him to honour his contract would have kept us up or not. Some might ask the same about Goodwin. All of Alfie's goals didn't fire Charlton to promotion or the play offs but hypothetically cou...

Re: Manager no nearer
Why is it a red flag? He has a year on his deal and the club are trying to protect themselves by offering him a longer one. Presumably with clauses in should another club come in for him. He might feel that he's happy with his current terms so will sit on that for now. Being no nearer does not mean...

A few Errea strips have started being revealed for the new season which may give an inkling of how ours might look: https://www.footballkitarchive.com/errea-2024-25-kits/ Some of the collars are a little odd. The QPR one is otherwise quite smart. Underwhelmed by Aldershot’s new away shirt which is ...

Re: Former players
no sign of Goodwin in play offs Hasn’t played since 16 March. Still very early to judge, but he’s basically had 4 weeks of his EFL career where he’s a) been fit and b) scored goals. As it stands, we did a cracking deal there. Well done the Board and football management. Hopefully if Oxford go up we...

Re: Robins Trust Email - Cheltenham Town: Building for the Future
Yes the Morecambe owners are the same ones who ran Worcester rugby into the ground. They have had the club up for sale for over a year now but not sold as nobody will meet their asking price. That's seen a lot of key staff and players leave and they are stuck in a downward spiral. I fully agree the...

Re: Professionalising 'little old Cheltenham'
It's not resentment, it's a genuine question. The wage for a CEO could be spent on a player. Is a CEO a necessity? Given we go through Media manager's like a fat kid goes through cake, if we appointed one on the pittance wages we pay our club staff, then it probably wouldn't be long before we're lo...

We had Caribbean and East Asian investment. In the 1930's we had major investment from Cheltonians. The only way the Racecourse move could work is if the Prestbury Park owners bought CTFC. I don't think the issue was Mickey Moore going himself, so much as having no plan for when he did leave. At best, this was naive on the Board's part. At worst, reckless. I have spent today updating my succession plan at work. My team of 12 is relatively stable, at least more stable than a league fo...

Have you listened to the Trust podcast with Paul Baker? He explains in some detail why a CEO isn't necessarily needed at Cheltenham.
