Three up top means no wide midfield players that often seems to be demanded. Personally, I'd play: Flinders Alcock, Mullins, Boyle, Hussey Tozer Maddox Broom Varney Barnett Mooney With Varney and Mooney dropping back as needed. This is the team I'd like to see at the moment. Before Tuesday it was A...

I agree Robin. to much blame has been put on GJ. The coaching staff should have gone as well. still playing the same old c!#p football.Robin wrote:Whilst I do agree with the decision to sack him I do not put the blame entirely down to him. The board and Milton also take some responsibility here.

What a debacle tonight.....from being the top team in Cheltenhamshire we now hit rock bottom....who is to blame? The spineless and incompetent board....from the way they handled the sacking of GJ - regardless of reasons - with no back-up plan in place whatsoever, to the way they have reacted to the...

Re: My thoughts on the debacle
As a supporter for nearly 60 years, the recent events and the way the club sacked GJ concern me greatly. If I treated my staff and clients the way the board went about their business, I would have no staff or clients. For over 40 years I went to every home and away game. OK, I don’t attend anywhere...

Shockingly poor decision from the board to treat Gary Johnson with such disrespect after everything he's done for the club. As if we can afford to be so choosy in our managers! Having said that, he'll probably be glad to get away from all the moaners and a board with no spine. Good luck, Gary. Yes....

The only thing I can stick up for Grimes with is that both of his most recent mistakes have been when he's been playing on the right side of defence, and he's left footed. Now, both mistakes were made with his left foot but let's not go into that... Personally, I'd have Boyle over Grimes any day bu...

Agree re the big man! Apart from one piece of poor control near end Nige was great. One touch passing throughout, makes the game look easy. Given we get left back next week GJ will then have difficult decisions to make. Harry, Nige, Joe, and Winnie to put in mid field. Mo and A N Other up front plu...

Can't blame keeper for first goal. As said, Forster playing them onside. Second goal? Hopelessly exposed by lack of defender on left side in front of him Not sure what difference it would have made whatever he did. But it's giving the moaners a victim and gives Cranstone a break!
