Re: Michael Duff ahead of Bolton Wanderers away
Apologies if I have missed something but is there a reason JP/Glos live doesn’t upload interviews in video format these days? Appreciate the interviews are conducted over zoom currently but I have always found it much easier watching the videos (even with the ads) than reading the prose although tha...

Re: Paul Buckle
Lee Vaughan. There are loads of reasons it didn't work: - The fans didn't want him and didn't support him from day one - we all judged him on his previous roles at Luton and Rovers where he was bloody dreadful. - There was no new manager bounce - his first 4 games were three draws and the defeat to...

Re: Ground improvements
Can’t see an awful lot of that money going back into the playing budget as I don’t feel like we have had too many big earners over the past few seasons. I’ve never felt like we’ve had a big budget, although that might because Duff likes to mention it regularly. Can’t remember what the Pack sell on f...

Re: Boot Zoom: Luke Varney on leaving Cheltenham Town
Personally feel it’s a big loss and mistake letting him go. Whilst we don’t know the ins and outs of his deal and what of the budget is still available, in my opinion he is a far better option as a target man than Reid. He also makes a good point in that he was very effective when playing alongside ...

Totally other way round. Venue pays promoter/production company for artist and production of concert and takes revenue of ticket sales plus any catering spend on the day. Always a risk but ultimate objective is for act to pull in enough punters/sales to cover costs of production company and make pro...

Cooper surely gone in the summer if he doesn’t get them up.
So many lower league managers would have got them up by now or riding high in the auto places given the money Vince chucks at it. Absolutely criminal how badly he does given the resources.
Enjoy it while it lasts I guess!

We’ve already got one central midfielder who has vast amounts of Championship experience coming off the back of an extended spell out of the game. So far that gamble isn’t going amazingly so would be quite happy to pass on this occasion. One thing I would say about McGugan though was he scored an in...

Re: To pay or not to pay that is the question
Who’s to say the agreement wasn’t that the club paid Parklands for 5 years after the stand opened? The amount offered to Parklands may have been offered to stop it going into the press, the negative PR and loss of earnings from the FGR games. None of us know the full picture. I don’t claim to be a l...

Re: To pay or not to pay that is the question
Withholding payments for 12 years? I think it would have come to light before then if it was the club doing that, probably when they withheld the first payment. Looking objectively, it appears to be something that has been let to slide by the centre and they didn’t do anything about it while they ha...

Re: To pay or not to pay that is the question
Surely parklands haven’t got a leg to stand on if there has never been a contract. It seems to me that the club paid a fee for a period as a gesture of goodwill for allowing access but don’t see how the centre can go after any historical charges without any written agreement. They can’t have done to...

Personally I thought Cole was solid on Saturday. Had good energy, keen to get on the ball on some nice touches. Certainly wouldn’t say he was a class below Maddox or Morrell on that performance. Could see a midfield trio of Ince, Cole and Thomas/ Clements being effective at L2. We’ll see what happens.

Re: The Old Programme hut
Wycombe had one when I visited Adams Park in around 2005.
Also Goodson Park has/had a church on one corner that turned into a large programme selling operation on match days, again when I visited on around 2005.
They are two that spring to mind although unsure if both still going.

Re: Crawley Town v Cheltenham Town
My understanding is that he isn’t a viable target so can confirm that it was Jay Simpson. Well worked out Robin! I presume he was there to support Atangana who he played with at Orient. He left pretty soon after the injury. Top scorer (or thereabouts) in L2 a couple of years ago but having looked on...

Re: Crawley Town v Cheltenham Town
I feel a little uneasy in putting it out there if the club are working hard in bringing him in and keeping it under wraps. Would be a very good signing in my opinion and I’d imagine a high earner, which is why the more I think about it, the more likely it is that they were supporting an ex team mate...

There was an experienced FL striker, currently without a club, in the away end today. Whether he is a potential signing or there supporting an ex team mate was unclear.

Re: Two players out
Up top isn’t our problem, Barnett and Varney are both more than capable of scoring at this level if provided with the right service. The middle of the park is where we need to focus attention, Atangana and Tozer both offer nothing in terms or creativity, struggle to pass more than 5 yards and regula...

Sorry was left to right! Hussey, KLK on left etc. I have been impressed with Addai but he could be a great option off the bench with his pace and Broom has looked good after a shaky start against Tranmere. Addai and KLK to get in behind a defence and then roll balls across to Barnett to tuck home. M...

Personally feel Milton should get it as already seen an upturn in the result yesterday (with improved performance) and he is the only one who has a full knowledge of who we have been scouting, meaning he can oversee the final week of the loan window. Re: Gary Johnson on Mo Eisa's future
I agree with the point that it may not be the best time for Mo to leave but from the club’s point of view it is the right time for him to go. At present we have a player who is by far the most valuable playing asset the club has ever had. He is young, quick and can score goals hence why he is being ...

Info?!
If your ex sponsor chum didn't want to renew, then it would appear as if the club wasn't doing enough to retain the sponsor! I am unsure what point you're making, you're saying it's not easy to retain sponsors, this means that perhaps the club isn't doing enough which is the point I'm making!

With the greatest of respect, suggesting that it is not easy keeping sponsors doesn't tie in with other football league clubs who will (or the vast majority at least) have stand sponsors and not resort to raffling the rights. I would add that given the comparative lack of other sports sponsorship op...
