New strip

Unless I'm mistaken, we're due a new home strip for the start of next season. I can remember the fanfare and promo vids last year and the year before for the last new away and home kits, but seem to remember they were both announced relatively deep into the summer? Anyone know why? I seem to remembe...

Re: Former players

Just seen that the legendary Danny Wright, who got 22 goals and 10 assists on the way to the National League title, has announced his retirement at 39. He made more appearances and scored more goals for us than any of his other clubs and, of course, we made his dream of playing in the Football Leagu...

Re: Retained list

......That's a lot of recruitment to be done, especially as of that 13, at least 2 will probably hardly get a kick (King and Harris). At least most of those contracted are first team and more than capable for L2 (I hope). Just 2 WBs and 1 GK and we'll be well on our way. Think we will need another ...

Matt Smith is available on a free but we already have 4 CF but how many can score

Do we assume that DC is staying then
And what about the DofF
No, I initially missed Freestone out. Have added him now.

Re: Retained list

One and done for Pardington then. Shame. Can't exactly say I'm shocked about any of the released players, but I would have thought one or two would do a job in League 2. We already know Southwood is off, the rumours about Lloyd going, and we all seem to expect that Ferry will find a L1 club. So, if...

I was surprised that the pitch looked so good overall at the Lincoln game given how much rain there's been and it had been looking a bit worse for wear in previous games. A great effort as always by the ground staff.

I didn't mean I thought it would happen, just that I think it would be more likely than Moore coming back/us having him back. If we do have a DoF, I would expect it to be Russ, unless the board think he isn't performing and move him on/into a different role. But I'm here to be constantly surprised b...

So, another season done and dusted. Luckily, the two-tiered Predicta League idea never caught on, so there is no relegation here... It was confirmed a few matches ago, but Johnsons Red Army is the 2023/24 Champion , running away with things thanks to several perfect scores (largely helped by the tea...

Re: Rumour season opens

If he comes back that would be one of the weirdest move in football considering what happened then and since. He contributed largely to us being relegated by leaving and taking half the backroom staff with him which had a big hand in the manager at the time eventually losing his job. Can't see it ha...

Re: Open comment to the board

DC doesn't necessarily want a big budget. He said as much. What he wants is a plan of how the club is going to move forward, mostly with Seasons so that he can work better with his players. I think that's where he initially wants the shareholders he wanted to meet with to put their money, as it's ow...

Re: Contracts latest

Good news on those two. If we can get them to sign quickly along with Pett seemingly staying on, that would give us a pretty solid nucleus of a squad to tackle League 2 next season. Also interesting that DC is still very much leading this process so perhaps talk of him walking away are a little pre...

Sack the "fans". The level of ignorance by a lot of these people is beyond belief. They have zero knowledge of the club, it seems, and yet they go around shouting things like sack the board, Bloxham is clueless and needs to go, the board needs to put their hand in their pockets, etc, with ...

3 or 4 chances off the line or saved by the keepers foot as well. At the end of the day, today again showed our main problem all season - we haven't been able to score enough goals. Which is ironic as we ended up scoring more than a few teams who wound up safe. And scored more and conceded less than...

There was a fanzine in the mid-90's. Would have been '94 or '95 when I went into school on a Monday morning and my teacher had left his copy from the weekend on my desk for me. Stashed away in the attic somewhere at the moment but the front page was something about "Rushden Anne Diamonds"....
