Re: Wade Elliott after the MK Dons draw
I'm not sure the recruitment has been that poor. We're seeing what a good player Perry can be, Taylor is clearly a great prospect and Southwood looks better as the season goes on. It was good to hear him above the crowd today Olayinka looks a really good player for this level, albeit we haven't seen...

Re: Former players
Looking at the Dan Holman link, there's a George Maclellan amongst the subs. One and the same? The lad who was great for us during the Conference promotion season?

Re: New signing imminent
I like it, didn't get much game time before but seemed to have genuine pace, an option we don't have at the moment Reminds me of when we signed Antonio on loan from Reading. The experts in the In-2-Print (where I planted myself with my young lad at the time) couldn't contain their displeasure every ...

Re: Lack of Quality
I don't post often but have to today. Last night was very poor. Only Ferry came out of that game with genuine credit. But talk of getting rid of the manager is a one way ticket to disaster. He's a proven and in demand coach. We've had a few seasons of brilliant recruitment and results of which he's ...

Re: Dan Crowley departs
Shame, on the upside, brilliant dribbler and opens the game up with his passing On the downside, sometimes held onto the ball too long for us. Also, hardly ever scored all through his career. Sets things up but very little personal goal threat and limited defensively. And what is football about othe...

Re: Would you offer Conor Thomas a new deal?
Super-fit, technically good and decent in the air. Plus closes space better than anyone when we don't have the ball. We play better when he starts. Not sure if it's confidence or if he really has got fitter or been coached better.....but on current form sure to be offered a deal

Re: Cheltenham Town v Plymouth Argyle
I have to step in on Tozer. Complete class act in League 2. It looked to me like the Plymouth game plan relied on few long balls being hit when we had the ball deep, reasonable thinking given Gavin and Alex up front. Problem seemed to be neither the midfield or defence carried the ball forward first...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Swindon Town
Agreed, the last two matches have been dominated by midfield. FGR and Swindon were both very impressive in the middle. I thought Ince and Thomas did ok although Ince ran out of gas; he'll come good though. Problem seemed to be, the ball went up to Varney and Reilly/Smith who struggled to lay it off ...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Leicester City
Talking of central midfielders. Anyone who went to Forest Green last season would have seen a fantastic effort by Broom. If Ince is the holding midfielder, Broom could have freedom to carry the ball and find forward space. Plus he should get a few goals Nothing to worry about, Anyone coming in shoul...

Re: Incoming
I reckon we can currently put out a highly competitive team. The back five, keeper and holding midfield player are fine and we've pace up front. Long and Hussey must be as good a wingback pairing as any in Div 2 Sure we need strengthening, as MD says, but is it better to sign someone now or wait unt...
