Solar panels are nice and all but give absolutely no tangible benefit to fans. Buying seasons is a big positive but there appears to be no plan in terms of how to use it to generate revenue.

Re: Darrell Clarke after Stevenage defeat
Saw a tweet from JP that there maybe another departure from the board of directors. Not the chairman though. Paul Bence has had enough. With him standing down, I think I can share now that when we appointed Wade he was the only director who wanted to appoint Matty Taylor from the final two candidat...

Re: Season tickets
I've heard whispers that there was a discussion within the board room to increase ticket prices but ultimately they have decided against it. I expect them to remain as they are for next season now.

Re: Farewells
DC will be going, DC has restored a level of confidence within himself, he will now be seeking a greater salary and bigger budget to work with. A great shame but he will leave the club and it looks like another season of rebuild. I have heard the rumour reference to a return of a former director of...

Re: TONIGHT: 2023/24 Club Annual Shareholders Meeting and Fans’ Forum
That stand opposite us is exactly what should happen with the C&G, it was basic but had a bar underneath and good views. I would view Stevenage as a smaller club than ourselves and would imagine they've spent the majority of the last twenty five years below us in the league standings and with lo...

Re: Stevenage v Cheltenham Town
Yes, I noticed a few Stevenage players turn to acknowledge us at the end. Unlike the bellend Sweeney shushing us when they scored the penalty. I have no issue with players giving it back to fans who have been getting on their back, but there was none of that yesterday. Sent from my iPhone using Tap...

I will get slammed for this but we should offer him some sort of contract until January to aid his recovery. He put his body on the line for us so some loyalty would be the right thing to do and you never know he might then repay us again in future.

Re: We go again
Regarding the training ground I presume it's a five figure investment so unlikely that crowdfunder could cover it but I would like to think our owners would consider it as it won't bankrupt the club and it will help us long term.

Re: Darrell Clarke after Stevenage defeat
Hearing rumours we might be about to appoint a Director of Football and it's a face we all know. Unsure how that fits with keep Clarke for next season but I believe he worked with one at Port Vale and Bristol Rovers. Hopefully a bit of positive news on a really low day for the club.

Re: Stevenage point of view
That has to be the most predictable interview ever seen  (no dig at you for posting triggo) I may look a fool on Saturday afternoon but I think we have the most favourable fixture. Stevenage lose and they get clapped off for a great season, Vale or Fleetwood lose and they risk getting booed an...

Anyone know who the clubs are at our level who own their own grounds? It's murky but I understood Derby and Reading did own their grounds but that was moved to companies under their former/current owners. Portsmouth, Bolton, Lincoln, Burton, Northampton, Cambridge and Wycombe own their grounds base...

Re: Lincoln City
Possibly but I believe Ipswich and Plymouth received quite a bit of US based investment before Wrexham became a thing. I can see the logic with someone like Ipswich, they come invest £20 million and if that money get's them to the Premier league they make a huge return. If it fails it's a relative l...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Peterborough United
There is a player called Josh Stokes at Bristol City (signed from Aldershot and loaned back) that could be one for us to keep an eye on for next season. Wasn't he pretty much the hottest property in Non-league this season? I remember hearing he's a real prospect and Bristol City paid good money for...

This was brought up at the forum that the majority of EFL clubs now have American investment however whilst not explicitly stated the indication was that this was not something which would be welcomed here. I do fear we could be left behind without it as even clubs like Wycombe, who are a similar si...

We have sold almost a thousand tickets without any free travel but come on a couple of coaches costs max £1000 for the day that's half a weeks wages for a player.

I'm not Nuttall bashing but we need a more mobile physical presence. Someone like Odejayi could do for us in the past it's the one thing we really lack because Keena and Taylor don't offer that at all.

I can't see us selling 1400 out so it should not matter. Hopefully we can get a good following though and get a result, it's do able if we play like the first sixty minutes yesterday and the first half on Saturday. Also please no more changes in formation stick to our best eleven and regular 3-5-2.

Re: Cheltenham Town v Peterborough United
It's definitely lacking and very noticeable how our midfield has improved when it's Bonds/Pett rather than Pett/Kinsella. Would love to see us add big powerful and pacy forward (similar to Jones for Posh) who can give us an outlet and let us play on the counter attack in the summer no matter which l...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Peterborough United
tbf to POSH they came into the game in the second half and dominated us, if they had managed to score I reckon we would have fallen apart. I can't agree with that they had two shots on target that I recall. They certainly improved in the last thirty minutes but we also sat back and didn't press. Do...

The majority of fans won't travel on coach, seems a bit unfair to do this, better to put money behind the bar at the ground so fans can have a beer or two. Seems a bit unfair to do this...many fans will be driving or simply may not have any desire to have a beer or two that early in the day... :D :...

Darrell has done amazing, I didn't think we could pull it off and despite all the off the field and some on field headwinds to still be in it going into the last game is a major achievement. Just win Saturday and leave no regrets.

Re: COE and or DOF
I don't think the issue was Mickey Moore going himself, so much as having no plan for when he did leave. At best, this was naive on the Board's part. At worst, reckless. We'd already had to increase his wage earlier in the season to keep him from going to Forest Green, so it was clear to a blind ma...

I heard the club were looking for a new commercial manager with the role having been vacant for a year now. This is the pace they operate on. Not sure a Director of Football would upset Clarke as he had one at both Bristol Rovers and Port Vale but it's important that role works well with him. Also ...

This is precisely what I mean. All season on social media we've seen "Sack the board", "Get Bloxham out", etc, etc... But none of these people have the slightest clue about what would happen if the board resigned en masse. The anti-Bloxham stuff is boring as well. As I said on a...

You keep banging on about it, but pray tell who takes over as leaders of the club. I see plenty of criticism and little by way of solution. Re: tinker man and next season
It didn't sound to me like we had any player recruitment on-going for the summer, Clarke even said he'd make those decsions at the end of the season. Also he was clearly he would ideally not want any loans so I doubt we will see many next year if he is in charge. Either way we are clearly already be...
