Re: Professionalising 'little old Cheltenham'
As the Chairman and Paul Baker have explained how the club works without a C,E,O. and some here and the Trust have a different (non costed) view why not give Paul Godfrey the title "Operations Director" and the Chairman ,"Managing Director" . Two elevated job titles at no expens...

The Gloucestershire flag known as the Severn Cross was designed by Jeremy Bentall, who was at a recent game and draped the flag over the fence until being told to remove it because it covered part of a large ad,board.A pity the club couldn`t have met with him to discuss using the design in a future a...

Re: Professionalising 'little old Cheltenham'
I'm probably in the minority in thinking that a CEO isn't necessarily a magic bullet. We couldn't keep commercial personnel for any length of time for starters, but there's no denying that having lost two directors the board definitely don't have all the different skill sets needed. A golden chance...

Re: Professionalising 'little old Cheltenham'
Nesty wrote a thread about us having too many staff, he wasn't sure what they were all doing and that we never used too need this in the past. A few responded that comparatively we have a light coaching staff and a full time goal keeping coach, and two assistant coaches is still quite lean (I belie...

Former Arsenal chairman Sir Chips Keswick has died at the age of 84. A lifelong fan of the club, Sir Chips joined the Arsenal board in 2005 . ( brother of Ctfc major shareholder Simon Keswick )

tbf to POSH they came into the game in the second half and dominated us, if they had managed to score I reckon we would have fallen apart. I can't agree with that they had two shots on target that I recall. They certainly improved in the last thirty minutes but we also sat back and didn't press. Do...

I’ll pick you up on the new stand we so dearly need. Why would anyone invest £10m odd on a new stand at a stadium which sits on land which isn’t even owned by the club? It does not make commercial sense for an investor. Also we have just invested in solar on the stadium which will reduce overheads ...

Why are we calling the manager tinkerman? Am I alone in thinking this is a little disrespectful for someone who has done one hell of a job despite a lot of hindrance from those above. Its disrespectful... DC has done a great job since he's been here I`ts not disrespectful, he`s been forced to juggl...

That was utterly disgraceful. A team of total strangers clearly lacking confidence, belief and in some cases ability. Clarke has been amazing for us but he got the team selection so very wrong last night. The only positive was the substitutions who improved us albeit from an extremely low baseline....

After the draw at Wigan JP asked DC how'd spend Saturday: "I'll switch off because we are in training on Sunday to give us a two-day build-up to Tuesday. Some of my staff are going to watch games, so I'll recharge my own batteries as you lose a lot of energy as a manager. I'll be watching the ...

Does anyone know on here who scouts the opposition prior to CTFC playing them. Is it Russ? I vaguely remember when Mike Duff was here he mentioned we have a couple of scouts, one north one south. Is that still the case and do they scout opposition as well as new talent. Or has it all changed. Anyon...

Re: Leyton Orient v Cheltenham Town
There's the issue in a nutshell. Lloyd with a straightforward chance on his favoured right foot and had about as much confidence as the rest of us had in him scoring, and weakly hit it to the keeper. Meanwhile Orient scored two from edge of the area. Lloyd will find his level next season somewhere,...

I wish we had a midfield with some physicality and energy to compete for 90 mins. We don`t have the running ball carrying type in the squad, and the only one who had the ablity to do the ratting was Curtis Thompson who`s now at Grimsby.I like Bondsy but he gets caught in possession and doesn`t tackl...

It's almost like we have used up so much energy to catch up we are flatlining. The high press high energy cheltenham have gathered the most points....but at the moment we are a spent force. Yet another fresh-faced referee makes their Whaddon Road debut with Scott Jackson taking his turn to tread the hallowed turf for the first time He's new to the EFL, so no history to report. Re: Wycombe Wanderers v Cheltenham Town
Having caught up with the teams above us, we seemed to have adopted a hang on and nick it style of play. But maybe Wigan and Wycombe who we have played away from home are tough fixtures, so 2 points would have been good, 1 point better than nothing. Season will be defined by other games like Burton...

Fully agree, despite it being initially underwhelming we need to give the guy a chance and see what he can do. Maybe the Oldham manager just didn't know how to get the best out of him. DC has turned our hopeless bunch from August/September into a strong competitive side, maybe it'll be the same wit...

Lloyd is going to struggle to play with the level of intensity he's shown for the remainder of the season. We need legs who can press and chase down things down, Keena is a goalscorer and our best finisher but his style does not suit the way we are trying to play. Despite Lloyd not being peoples fa...
