Robins' amazing improvement
I've looked forensically at every League One team's performance since Town hit rock bottom on 3rd October. That was before we scored our first goal of the season in the twelfth game (home to Derby), which sparked the remarkable turnaround in form. Since those fateful first 11 matches, the Robins hav...

Yep, Sercs is one of our most reliable and talented players. You can see why Gasheads like him so much, as they do Darrell Clarke.

Re: Cheltenham Town v Portsmouth
Incredible win!! Were we clinging on at the end? The only sour note is that Exeter won again so somehow we are no closer to safety :-( But I don’t want to dwell on the negatives, we have more than proved that we are competitive over the last few weeks. Just need to freshen up and try to keep up the...

Biggest crowd since……when? I don’t think I’ve see a Cheltenham attendance starting with a 6 since Everton in the cup. Biggest since last seasons game vs fgr I expect. 5,901 with 700 away fans. 5,200 home fans which is probably the biggest we've had in a a FL game which isn't a playoff game. Biggest...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Reading
Keena is a puzzle when you compare last season to this, his first touch and movement which were superb have completely gone and now he's wandering around the pitch looking lost. Is it just confidence or has some of the motivation dropped off too? I don't see that as making him a scapegoat, it's jus...

Reading fan here. We were absolute dog sh1t first half could barely string 3 passes together. You ran rings round us should have been at least 4-0 up before we somehow got back into the game. 2nd half it seemed both sides were content with a draw. You guys must be kicking yourselves that you didn’t...

I must say it’s slightly comical watching people on here and Facebook make up completely made-up figures then insist that THIS IS THE FIGURE THAT MUST BE MET. Re: Alfie May bid
Frankly, anything less than £500k would be a derisory fee for a player who's netted more L1 goals than anyone else over the last two seasons. I know (and agree) that the club wants to do right by Alfie, but it mustn't allow itself to be mugged off. Some say his age might put buyers off. Well, in my ...

The question is teams we've played in a competitive game. Spurs and Everton for example we've only played in the FA Cup. Newcastle in the FA cup and League Cup. Correct. However, all of the clubs listed were in the Premiership or EFL when we played them . Sutton weren't in the EFL when we played th...

Of the current 92, we played Sutton in the FA Cup when they were still a National League club, so shouldn't count them really

Fair points. I guess I find the arrogance a bit amusing really. It works to our advantage (and other small clubs in this league) when the 'big boys' underestimate us. Long may it continue!

Big club's fans moaning
Following yesterday's win over Pompey, I've noticed the usual moans and groans from their fans (and manager) about Portsmouth's poor performance. Also the odd swipe about losing to a small club better known for horse racing, etc. It's as if we didn't deserve to be playing on the same pitch as them (...

Yep, I echo the sentiments of others. Gary was instrumental in saving this club from potential oblivion. He performed miracles by producing a completely new squad from nothing and won the NL at the first attempt with 101 points. OK, it didn't work out a couple of seasons later, but he laid the found...

Yeah with a Morecambe player sent off. Exeter have lost and conceded less than Morecambe, and have to win to keep their play-off hopes alive, and Bolton have also been up and down the last few weeks. I can see it being a draw, which will be enough for their promotion, and hopefully enough for us to...

All over!!! One win or two draws seals the title no matter what the others do now. It's shame Harrogate didn't keep the three goal lead as a point tomorrow could have pretty much sealed it. As it is, Cambridge's goal difference remains one better. Two draws won't be enough if Bolton win both of the...

It's not incorrect, RCS, because I was portraying the worst (not best) case scenario. True, Morecambe 's goal difference is currently 11 worse than ours, but in the worst case scenario it's not inconceivable that it could be overcome.

It was an after match rant after that diabolical display at Crawley. I've been led to believe that if Cheltenham win Saturday and Bolton beat Morecambe we are promoted. Watching the FGR/Bolton game earlier, what a difference it can make having a striker of the quality of Doyle. Lovely goal, took a step back and volleyed it through the defenders and away from the keeper. Trouble is, where do you get one of those? How many of our shots are either off target, down th...
