Re: As it stands…
The " as it stands" discussion during games and on commentaries is complete rubbish. No points are awarded until the game is over.

Re: Is 23 March still on
If it is called off, the only midweek date we have available is Tuesday 26th March or Tuesday 23rd April. 26th March possibly too close to the Fleetwood match on Good Friday? So probably 23rd April. Hopefully we’d still be in with a chance of staying up. Just looking again, Republic of Ireland and ...

Sneaky digs at the Board by Statler and Waldorf on the commentary. I hope we stick in a few goals to get their blinkers off .

No but Moore got a hefty pay rise to stay when Forest Green were trying to poach him so we had six months of paying him beyond budget before he weaseled off.bigdavejambo wrote: ↑06 Mar 2024, 20:01 was any compensation paid by Shrewsbury for Moore and Bignot?

Re: £531000 operating loss
I found it quite funny when Clive said the main stand project was long term and Pete Matthews said it’s been long term for a long term! For me the most frustrating thing in the whole main stand redevelopment saga is, if we can’t afford a new main (which I completely get) then what are we going to d...

Re: £531000 operating loss
How will it "make money "? Non matchday facilities like lots of other clubs do, if that's not going to (as you have implied) then we may as well give the lease back the council and they can build on it as CTFC are just going to be priced out of playing full time league football by the sou...

Didn't hear who won motm, Am hoping it was Jordan Thomas as he was the only one who lifted the mood He did win it. I don't understand the reticence to 'protect' Thomas or ease him in gradually. He's been playing in the National League South so does not have the transition from Academy to mens footb...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Charlton Athletic
Like others, I'm deflated after last night, but I'm not beaten. I think DC has to take his share of the blame for the last few games. There seems to be rotation for rotation's sake at the moment and this is creating confusion in the midfield and defence. The back three on Saturday were perfectly fi...

Re: £531000 operating loss
just got around listening to see, two things struck me: 1. The deep fear Clive had in his voice when he said the loses weren't sustainable 2. Wouldn't it be better for the whole of lower league football if *some finance and club owners admitted that their football clubs aren't sustainable. The main...

Re: The board
Rochdale are trying to stay afloat after dropping out of the league. The Chairman's statement to the upcoming EGM shows how hard it is to get new owners in to a club. Simply "investing" a sum of money does not come easy. It is an interesting read and may help explain the process and pitfal...

Also noticed that Max Mata has been loaned back to Sligo from Shrewsbury Surprised by this - well, not surprised in that he has 1 goal in 20 odd games, but his release clause was significantly more expensive than Keena’s so maybe that’s just a loan to get his confidence back. 2nd most expensive pla...

She has every right to say what she has said. Port Vale was a sinking club and will not find good owners so easily again. The sense of entitlement of some watchers of football is depressing.

Sorry, I forgot King. Despite the " not in plans" and not old enough cliches they are all getting paid and should be part of the team squad. My point is that is being eroded. A few weeks ago the Manager was looking for signings to come in to the eleven. Now we have Thomas another wide playe...

We don't need someone else to sit in the stand. Last weekend we had Freestone,Bradbury,Olyinka, Sloggett,Horton plus the eighteen. We also have Sambu,Liggett ,Walters and Willcox trying to progress. Smith and Thompson left because they were not starting. Many more and grumbling will increase.
