Re: tinker man and next season
This is precisely what I mean. All season on social media we've seen "Sack the board", "Get Bloxham out", etc, etc... But none of these people have the slightest clue about what would happen if the board resigned en masse. The anti-Bloxham stuff is boring as well. As I said on an...

You keep banging on about it, but pray tell who takes over as leaders of the club.
I see plenty of criticism and little by way of solution.

We have an option on Pett's contract I believe, which means he'll be with us next season unless we let him go.

Re: tinker man and next season
DC would have known when he joined that there was a good chance we would be relegated. I’m not sure we can read too much into speculation at this point. He has done an excellent job whatever happens this week and I really hope he stays. I agree. I think people are reading far too much in to Thursda...

Re: Open Letter to the Board
What's incredible is how everyone flip flops from one extreme to the other at the drop of a hat. It's been run the same way for decades, as Paul Baker said on the Trust podcast - no outright owner, no one who can determine the fate of the club on their own, etc... In that time we've seen more succes...

Re: tinker man and next season
Given he's under contract then as long as we're suitably compensated then so be it.
I don't want to lose DC, of course not. But much like he says about any players - if they don't want to be here then I don't want them here.

Re: Open Letter to the Board
I don't understand why Bloxham is getting so much heat. He was poor on Thursday, no doubt about that, but he isn't a dictator and all decisions by the board are done on votes. Why is it suddenly Bloxham that's suddenly the bad guy and not, say, Murry Toms or Clive Gowing, or David Beesley, or Paul B...

He wanted to go all out in League One - but he wanted to do it without investing any money himself. He said he was going to invest £100k but the money never materialised. Re: Cheltenham Town v Lincoln City
I hope there's a special level of hell reserved for tossers who taunt the crowd of a club going down when they score, when they've basically had no stick from said crowd. What a anker. I wondered what that was about, too. I didn't hear him get any abuse from the home crowd in that particular stand,...

There does seem to be some revisionism sometimes over the rivalry.
I know a lot of younger fans absolutely despise them because we're so bereft of a rival, but a number of fans really don't care about them.

I know people want us to be better, that's good and natural, of course I'd love us to be in the premier league. But for fans to ignore reality to such an extent puts the board and chairman in an impossible position. They could pave the cycle shelters in gold and some people still wouldn't be happy....

Re: TONIGHT: 2023/24 Club Annual Shareholders Meeting and Fans’ Forum
To be honest, I don't think it's as clear cut as "they don't have a plan". I just think they don't know how to communicate what they are doing. Bloxham seems a decent bloke, but he doesn't strike me as a leader or comfortable in public situations. Clive Gowing actually made a lot more sens...

For someone who complained at people getting personal on here not long ago, you seem to get quite personal about someone I doubt you've ever met. Mark does buy tickets, he buys at least two season tickets and when he's not on media duties still attends games (he went to Carlisle as a fan). He wasn't...

Except not a single person has said if he's on the bench then he'll be expected to come on and make an impact. What's been said is that he is one of two fully fit forwards and has a contract as a professional footballer so there should be a space for him on the bench in case the other forwards go do...

He was on the bench at the start of the season and even came on a few times but he's nowhere near ready for league one, still a kid in terms of physical frame so we all need to temper our expectations a bit there. I feel that is very favourable for us as I highly doubt they will have a new manager in place at that point and players will be less motivated. Steve Evans has left Stevenage to take over at Rotherham.
Not sure if this is a good or bad thing - Stevenage's form had nose-dived.

A brilliant second half performance. Nuttall, Thomas and Taylor were outstanding, but everyone else on the pitch really put a shift in as well.

I was sorry to see Thompson go too. But it was a case of balancing the books, DC wanted Kinsella, he'd worked with him before, was younger than Thompson who had been injury prone, and was out of contract in the summer anyway. Biggest error in the window was not signing an effective, League One stan...

Re: Destiny is in our hands
I've made it clear for some time that I don't believe the first 11 games is an excuse for relegation. We have had a lot of false dawns this season, and numerous opportunities to get out of the bottom four.
Unfortunately, we just seem unable to make that final step up.
