Re: Midfielder agrees new deal
I’m really pleased with this extension. On his day he is a cultured player who can make things happen, just lacks a bit of consistency, as most players do at this level from time to time. With Mr Duff at the helm we can be sure that he will get the best out of every player and we have seen the fruit...

Re: Expect some positive news this week
This Club is heading very much in the right direction, but we must all make sure we match Mr Duff’s expectations to ensure it keeps going that way. Talking to friends and fellow fans, I know of quite a few who are new applicants for season tickets, and I know of several former season ticket holders ...

Yes, a really excellent gesture from CTFC, and Matt, the Groundsman - and well done JP for sowing the seeds (not the ones’s on the pitch, I mean the seed of the idea )

Re: Cheltenham Town v Swindon Town
I was pleased with the way we went about this game. Mr Duff had done the homework and worked out where STFC were vulnerable. We won the majority of the little battles across the whole pitch, Luke Varney did two tremendous acts of sheer ‘professional gamesmanship’ towards the end, winning a free kick...

I think Mal’s ‘prophesy of doom weather forecasting’ website will let him down this weekend. No Emperor Penguin chicks will be harmed in this local derby game Game will definitely be on. Indeed, a very good interview and Mr Wilcox has proven to be a very decent Chairman. It was a good insight into what a Chairman has to deal with when running a Club, and some pretty strong hints at what needed to be put right, and overall I would say he’s got it very right. The only thing I would co...

Re: Morecambe v Cheltenham Town
It’s Bower and Lloyd I feel sorry for. People have been clamouring for Duff to play the home-grown kids. Same happened with Yates in an end of season game v Dagenham. Play the kids, get smashed. Didn’t even need Sido to score a spectacular own goal today. Game was already lost by the time the kids w...

He’s improving month on month under Duff’s guidance, and is one we must surely sign. I fully expect him to chip in with more goals next season from a back four that will be amongst the best in the division at defending as well as being a goal threat at the other end.

I don’t think the weather helped over the weekend, it’s been glorious, and there would have been plenty of people wanting to make use of the early rays of sunshine before it turns cooler again - we are still in Winter, though that’s hard enough to believe! He wasn’t a first choice player when he arrived, but his performances quickly established him as a ‘first name on the team sheet’ player. Re: A packet of pork scratchings
Not at all. If he was refusing to sign a new contract then we were right to get something out of it, else we would have received nothing at the end of the season. You are probably right, but the surprising thing about that being no one else made a better offer? Was he even on anyone else’s radar? I...

None of us were there but we all know what FGR’s policy towards football is. Or should I say, Dale Vince’s. He’s a bully who bullies people in a bullying manner. All ctfc fans know what that is like. We turned up for a nice day out with our friends in the south of the county and he turned it into a...

Re: A packet of pork scratchings
He had a year left on his deal and was refusing to sign a new one. The plot thickens. If that’s the case, then the £30k Burnley paid was the biggest heist since the Brink’s-Mat robbery of 1983. That heist was worth £26M. A similar ‘what price now’ value to what Mike Duff would be worth (imho), in a...

Re: Stalinist scenes at Forest Green
I invite everyone to read the FGR statement about what occurred! I would be upset if it wasn't so funny. One, I apparently only had a photograph of my e-ticket. Total nonsense. The stewards were shown the original. Two, I apparently threw a punch at a steward but missed. I would love to see the CCT...

Yes, despite my jesting on the subject (apologies), that’s an interesting take from JP. I wasn’t aware Mike Duff was out of contract at the time. People have generally remarked (even Burnley fans) that Mike Duff was probably the Football bargain of the decade, but when you compare his success at Bur...

Dunkerton is back on her board and the major shareholding group today said they will support his turnaround plans. Those plans include diversifying the range and increasing margins. I would be surprised if the connection is Superdry. They’ve been issuing profit warnings since at least last Autumn. No disrespect intended anywhere but I cannot see how a unison with CTFC would help revive the brand.

The only downside of last night's result is it boosts Forest Greens play off aspirations. Crawley and Yeovil going down would be fine by me, two horrible away trips. I don’t care if FGR go up. Good for Glos football profile. I don’t care if ‘the current’ FGR go up either. But for entirely different...

With so much wood on show, perhaps the FGR hierarchy should approach Viagra to sponsor the stadium.
Whichever way you look at it, the fact remains it’s most likely to be a huge cock-up.

How old is Bingham now, feels like ages ago that we rejected him after trial. The ball sticks to his feet but his finishing isn't there or his work rate from what I've seen. He’s only 25. I suspect the work rate and finishing would improve with game time and of course the direction from his Manager...

Bingham is a prospect, he just needs some game time to sharpen up a little. He has a lot of pace, his distribution is incisive and he gets himself into good positions.
