Re: TONIGHT: 2023/24 Club Annual Shareholders Meeting and Fans’ Forum
I was quite shocked that Bloxham thinks CTFC can ‘just’ sell players each season to survive and was backed up by other members of the board as though why is this policy even being questioned “As it’s what the club have always done” it’s very concerning that this board seem to be rolling a di...

Re: TONIGHT: 2023/24 Club Annual Shareholders Meeting and Fans’ Forum
Essentially, no new stand. No redevelopment of Cakebridge. No new investment. Best we can hope for is incremental improvements.
The really, really worrying thing for me is that members of the audience repeatedly asked for a plan for growth and it seems there isn't one. I find that.....surprising.

Re: Peterborough - home tickets
Fair point. The answer is for the club to to specifically say on social media that more seats have been released for this massive game (more seats released implies big demand which can drive demand in itself.).

Yep, looks like maybe 100 sold for block 6 since I looked last night. Not exactly flying off the shelves. Hopefully sales will pick up as we get nearer the weekend.

Re: Gloucestershire football
Well at least we've done our bit to cheer up Robins fans in what has been a tough year for football in the Shire. I doubt we'll be back in the EFL anytime soon, as Vince won't learn from his mistakes. Not in this part of Cheltenhamshire. I don't get the shadenfreude. A double-relegation with, possi...

No Street. No Keena. Possibly no Lloyd. A half fit Matty Taylor. Nuttall may be our only fully fit forward available for the remaining three games.
Darrell is a risk taker and we need goals.
Tom King has to on the bench at least, surely?

Re: League One - clubs in crisis
Reading can do the f*ck they want if they turn Burton over on Saturday. Never would goals from a financially doped strike force be more welcome. Reading have sold their 1800 allocation for their traditional inflatables day. It'll be a raucous in celebratory mood. Entirely possible there'll be more ...

Ben Toner takes charge of his first Cheltenham game since last August's mad game at Fratton park when he lost two of his assistants to injury and a Pompey fan had to run the line for the final 20 minutes. His previous game with Cheltenham was also against Pompey, a 2-0 home defeat in 2022. In a sli...

Thomas Kirk takes charge of this humdinger in only his second season on the EFL list.
He has officiated one game at Whaddon Road - a 2022 Pizza Cup defeat against West Ham U21s. He has no previous league appointments with either Cheltenham or Lincoln.

1-5 of the CF pretty much sold out for Lincoln on Saturday. Block 6 half full. Block 7 also on sale.
If the good people of Cheltenham don’t turn out for their football club this weekend, they never will. Get the word out.

The Hazelwood can be split easily above the gang way All those nearest canteen could then use those facilities Which turnstiles would away fans use? The CF? And they would then walk out of the CF concourse, round the pitch and into the Hazelwoods? Would all 1000 use the tiny concourse area behind b...

Re: Away fans
Definitely worthy of consideration, but I think there are fundamental problems with it that mean it's a non-starter. 1. The CF would be permanently split in two meaning home fans only get half the concourse for every home game. It's a rubbish experience when it's full. 2. The away section of the CF ...

Despite what some will have you believe, we'll have one of the lowest budgets next season regardless of what division we're in. The club is skint and has no facility to make money outside of football itself. Staying in League One every season is a miracle. Worth reminding ourselves that Barry Banna...

All for not feathering the nests of agents. But appreciate being prudent has consequences.
As an aside, why on earth does this happen anyway? Why don’t players pay the agents fees? It’s surely a bit like me buying a house and paying the sellers estate agent fees.

Darrell is generally pretty coy about things going on behind the scenes, but alluded today to multiple problems in the background. No doubt we'll hear more about that in the post-mortem.

Give Peterborough and Lincoln as many tickets as they like. Make some money while we’re still in a league with decent away support.

Rovers were awful on Tuesday, by accounts. Reading fans felt they cruised it and it was one of their most comfortable games of the season. 4-0 would have been more reflective of Reading's dominance. Is it possible to get a bet on how quickly we'll hear Rovers fans singing "How s#!t must you be,...

We are at our best when pressing but only Lloyd and Street can do that because we failed to improve the forward line other than Taylor. I expect the top 3 to be Ferry, Long, Sercs, but could be in any order.

Max Harris will replace Southwood, surely? If he's going to step up it has t be next season or likely never. And JP has said he is very highly thought of at the club. That would mean Pardington steps up to no.2 and we essentially "save" Southwards wage for investment elsewhere (as Southwoo...
