Re: Some thoughts on the Forest Green defeat

Good summary Jon

Things are clearly not as rosy off the pitch as some people make out

35 man squad but still paper-thin on match day.

Grant McCann is available Mr Baker. Go and get him

Re: Marks Out of Ten

In fairness Cowley was doing exceptionally well at Braintree the others had no mgmt. experience. As for Grant he's a playing legend and seemed to do reasonably solid job at Peterborough for two seasons on presumably a healthy budget but I fail to see why that entitles him to the job here assuming t...

Agree. I thought Adebayo looked pretty good last time he played but he finds himself frozen out by a gobby jock and a cart horse.

Re: losing faith

A move for Pell would rejuvenate his career to the disadvantage of Cheltenham Town. Agreed he is only a shadow of his former self but to be continually played out of position to allow the likes of Morrell and Sellars to be played in their best positions must be galling to say the least. He was throw...

Re: Seroius questions over GJ now......

There are a few on here who are happy for the players to take the blame when we lose and happy for the manager to take the credit when we win! I'm sorry but performances are largely down to the manager. It's his squad, his budget, his team selection and his tactics. Yesterday was a turning point for...

Bloody hell - it's worse than I thought.
I looked at the programme yesterday and noticed we have a squad of 35. Seems like
an incredible waste of budget even if some are not that expensive.
Complete re-build required in the summer.

I'm sorry Ben2 but you need to calm down. It's all about opinions. Hortengs' opinion is as valid as anybody else's and he is free to express his view. You are obviously happy with the way the club just drifts along. Many are not. This was a match that could have added some gloss to a mediocre season...

Im getting fed up of johnson dreadfull formations. We have possibly the best striker in our league, and we play him up front on his own and all we do is hump the ball in the air to him and his only downfall is he cant win headers. So we play to his weakness, bravo Johnson. For the first 70 mins the...

I'm not a season ticket holder but I couldn't be persuaded to make that kind of commitment with the
way the club is run at the moment. I go to all the home games but unless the club shows a bit of ambition
I will pick and choose my games from now on.

What a let down. We could have added some gloss to a mediocre season by winning what Gary billed as a glos cup tie.
Well sorry Gary but poor team selection, wrong formation and non-existent team motivation meant we had no chance.

I admit I have been critical of Gary this season but if we win next Saturday it will be the most satisfying win since we went to Nene Park in 1999 and won the title from another bankrolled club by scoring 2 goals in injury time. We could learn a lesson from Rugby. If someone is injured -get the trainer on and play around them! It won't happen though. Football is too slow to adapt to change. I often leave the ground angry and frustrated, not necessarily because of the result, but because 'game management' has spoilt my enjoy...

A decision like that isn't without consequences. When Flinders joined us at the end of August we were in the relegation places with 3 points from 4 games with 9 goals conceded. You can't entirely blame Flatt for that but maybe paying that 5K for Brown might have resulted in us being a few points bet...
