Re: Loan defender
At the pre season friendly against Albion I was in Reception talking to a Director regarding some 500 club project. When a member of the Albion first team system came in, and Caleb was mentioned. He said Taylor had had a tremendous season with us and were grateful to Cheltenham in his development as...

Re: Loan defender
Not one person on this site knows what Owen Bevan is like as a footballing prospect and if hes good enough to play for us. All we can surmise is that Bournemouth believe in him to give him a 3 year contract, and Russell Milton must of taken a good look at him, thats all weve got to go by. So to make...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Bolton Wanderers
I dont think ive been to an away game were the possession was 76 to 24, but for that to be the percentage when playing at home is awful. No quality at all. As for Curtis Davies, hes been an excellent footballer and has had a great career, but why is he playing at 38, and why o why have we signed him...

Re: Wade Elliott after Birmingham defeat
Youve had a bet on us getting relegated RCS, because if we lose 25+ were down id of thought. Only FGR lost 25+ of the clubs that got relegated last season. We lose 23, win 12 and draw 11 only gives us 47 points

Re: Wade Elliott after Birmingham defeat
Whilst we have the numbers in midfield other than Sercombe, Thompson maybe Hammond we don't have much quality right now. We didnt have the quality last season in midfield, that was my gripe and to me we havnt addressed it this season. We miss Taylor running fwd with the ball, Jackson supplying dece...

Re: Wade Elliott after Birmingham defeat
I still say our problem is the same as last season, a lack of creativity in midfield, as Haitch commented O for a Callum Wright pushing fwd. Our fwds who ever plays get little service, and defensively were always under pressure. In my view recruitment hasnt been the best, and some players are still ...

Re: Last time we played Brum in the cup
Who else was at the St Andrews in November 1990 when we played Birmingham in the FA Cup? I remember the day well. Great turnout by the Robins faithful and a great performance to lose 1-0. It was John Murphy’s first game of his second spell in charge for what turned out to be only for about 6 weeks....

Re: Change in approach?
We needed some experience but it's also a nagging doubt in my mind that we need to get the right balance especially when we inevitably sell Freestone, Bonds and Keena we could find out selves in similar situation Accrington were in and end up getting relegated. Next summer could be huge Freestone, ...

Re: Newport County AFC v Cheltenham Town
The result dosnt mean a thing we dont get points, relegated or promoted at Newport, but the performance does mean a lot, and it was poor. I felt sorry for Keena and Street who had to chase long hopeful balls. Freestone was woefull which is unusual, midfield apart from Sercombe were virtually non exi...

[/quote] I think we need to be more competitive in midfield i.e. without the ball ? I personally would give Alfie the sort of money hes seeking, I feel he really loves it here he always gives his all, and the potential of a May and Keena partnership to me is exciting. But if Alfie wishes to go fair enough, but not for peanuts
