Quite an exciting bit of news as this borrowing seems to point off field positivity.
If the financing was to take control of the Cakebridge Place land would be great as that would enable us to take a step forward on ground development with less reliance on the council

Could John Eustace be our man?
Mark Warburton tonight announced as West Ham assistant manager. I think it was muted he might get a manager role elsewhere with Eustace as his number 2 rekindling the old QPR set up which isn’t the case now?

Re: Who do we want then?
Off that betting list I wouldn’t mind Carrick if it was at all possible. He’s probably less likely than a Paul Buckle return but he’s got top level coaching experience and would undoubtedly have great contacts and be able to attract players both permanent and loan. A shame Duffo has left but it was ...

If I was Duff I’d be put off at having to go through this application process. Obviously I’m biased but I think it’s a bit demeaning to ask MD to go through this public process especially given his record since taking over. I think he’s done more than enough to warrant a higher placed club say that’...

Re: season tickets
I don’t think the price increase is too bad and the return of the three instalment options is good. To be fair I thought the increase would be a bit more but I’ve decided against renewing and will go down the route of picking and choosing games next season. It’s not necessarily the fault of the club...

Re: The Prestbury Road End
The PRE terrace is very much past its sell by date. It’s the same terrace that was there from the late 80s, all that happened was upon our promotion to the conference under Steve Cotterill, the area behind the terrace was tarmaced and when we got promoted to the FL, a roof was put over it. Unfortuna...

I’m not sure why Evans has all of a sudden become a target for supporters? I personally think he’s done ok and I don’t see that Flinders would have done any better? Re: What can we achieve in League One with the current set-up?
I think you’re pretty spot on. So long as Duff remains then I think we’ll be able to finish around where we are now with what we’ve got. However, if we want to establish ourselves at L1 level then we need a ground development that can generate off field revenue to support that. I think our attendanc...

Re: Would this ever happen at Whaddon Road?
We do have a long lease on the ground. Cannot remember exactly how long but I think for all intents and purposes we own Whaddon Road. Pretty sure it was for 99 years and signed about five years ago. But ground ownership would enable us to borrow for ground improvements which we need to increase rev...

Re: Ground redevelopment
The new Boston United stadium is costing in the region of £12m and 3 sides are terracing (albeit the terracing behind one of the goals will have a sports hall behind it) I would guesstimate that any new main stand for us would easily be in the region of £4 - 5m and off the back of Covid, I don’t see...

Unless someone aside from the club is going to foot the bill, then I can’t see any new main stand materialising. I thought the land swap with Cakebridge Place was going to be a catalyst but it never materialised. A joint venture with Parklands and the council to build a main stand complete with faci...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Sheffield Wednesday
I reckon other than Accrington and arguably Fleetwood (although their main stand is decent and probably similar to what we will likely get) we probably have the worst ground in league one. That new stand cannot come soon enough but it needs more than just exec boxes, it needs to increase overall ca...

In my opinion the club don’t seem to have the know how or desire to change anything. How many times has the club talked about improving the matchday experience and has anything ever changed? Did anyone have a link for this interview at all? The ‘new main stand’ talk seems to be something thrown out every couple of years before quickly going quiet. Hopefully the situation can be resolved. If nothing else, the number of turnstiles lost at that end of the stand nearest parklands could cause some congestion at the opposite end when we get some of our larger home crowds and mean we can’t have any away fans in the CF either.

I agree with the comments on here regarding the STs. I find it odd we have to print off 23 individual match tickets for ST holders yet we produce a privilege card (for which there is little to no information about the benefits!)

I know there is some tongue in cheek in this, but I don't see why they would not loan some of their youngsters to us. Lee Vaughan. There are loads of reasons it didn't work: - The fans didn't want him and didn't support him from day one - we all judged him on his previous roles at Luton and Rovers where he was bloody dreadful. - There was no new manager bounce - his first 4 games were three draws and the defeat to...

Re: Covid recovery: 3G pitches must be encouraged
I’ve never really been in favour of 3G pitches in the EFL but I think after this crisis that for L1 and L2 clubs that should be reassessed and allowed for the bottom two divisions. As highlighted in the Q&A, the financial reserves are being eaten into, with funds that might have been used on sta...

Personally I thought the linesman on the CF stand was poor and the ref had to make a lot of decisions for him. That said there’s absolutely no doubt the better team won. It seems a bit odd that this has been going on for 12 years, surely something should have been contractually put in place long before now. That said it doesn’t paint the club in a good light especially as they have accepted they owe Parklands money. Hopefully this can be sorted out ASAP and a proper...

Pleased for Addai. Since Duff came in he’s worked hard and until his injury, was showing some great form.
Like a good deal of the squad, it took time but the coaching is really taking effect.

I hope it isn’t just a case of raising the roof but redoing the whole PRE.
No reason it can’t be done on a budget with the modular types of stands that are becoming common in the lower leagues.
I doubt we’ll see a new main stand in the next few years

What’s happened to the ball boys at games? Why not create a scheme for local kids teams to be match day ball boys and as part of the package offer discounted tickets to the rest of that age groups within that club? Most of these clubs have teams ranging from 7/8 up to 16. There’s been a few teams in...

Dawson would probably be the choice but I was thinking more currently, with him being out injured, it would be a toss up between Clements or Thomas.
