Hutton up front is something which could be tried.
If (big IF) he re-captured his form form last year I can see him playing just off a main striker like Alsop, especially away from home.

I know it sounds silly but remember Malcolm MacDonald ? started as a left back. Having seen young Andrew during the warm up he has a venemous shot in his left peg.

I've said on here before that I thought Gallinagh might be useful upfront, hes not too bad in the air and quick across the ground, obviously his finishing would probably let him down but as he doesnt shoot all that often we never know - and probably never will.
Hutton I mentioned to a few people recently as a possible option upfront, mainly because he is quite lightweight and when he plays in midfield if he loses the ball we find the other team coming at us pretty quickly. If he gets knocked off the ball playing unfront we either get some decent freekick opportunities or we have 2 banks of players to get through before we're conceding goals. It also wouldn't be the first little and large partnership that we've tried, and they usually work pretty well. I think he would play a lot better in a less disciplined role in the team, i.e. not having to track back all the time and having freedom to roam around in advanced areas because the talent is clearly there - we were shown that last season!

Shandy really wishes he was one of us, his team now hovers just above the drop zone only on goal difference looks like they wont need that ground share after all

I have faith in my team, and will back them until the last kick, even if we are a fag paper away from the relegation zone. Your rabble, on the other hand, are 4 points and one game clear, and yet all I hear is doom and gloom, player assassinations, and supporters threatening to call it a day. I'd rather eat dogshit than be part of that match day atmosphere

I have watched CT as a non league team for a lot longer than as a League team and if we go down I see no reason to stop going.

I think he should look Non-League.
A non-league striker I imagine would be delighted to come to Whaddon Road. Yates knows the division well too, so might be able to make a decent pick.
James Constable, Richard Brodie, Lee Tomlin to name but 3.

I don't think people are saying they wont come any more just that they will not buy a season ticket and will pick and choose the matches they go and see. When I was your age, standing in the cold and the rain did not bother me either but now I am approaching 70 years old I find the lure of a warm room, a few cans of cold beer, Football on a 46" tv and a slow crawl up to bed more exciting than getting to Whaddon Road, watching a load of cr@p and then having to get home. I too have seen more non-league than Football League but at my age I cannot get excited about watching it again.

I agree non-league clubs have now got wise to letting there best players leave for next to nothing and going on to play good standard league football.

RED ROB wrote: Quote: even if we are a fag paper away from the relegation zone Looking a bit closer than that now Shandy http://www.thisisgloucestershire.co.uk/ ... ticle.htmlActually, if you read the article and look at the league table, Gloucester will actually improve, as they will be 5 points ahead of relegation - i.e. Harrogate - rather than just goal difference, as is the current state of play. Given that Harrogate are the worst team in the division, safety is looking more likely. Sorry to put a dampener on things.

We also have three games against the 2 teams below us, it all hangs on these in my opinion. A good haul and we will be safe. On the pitch.

Typical Gloucester got to rely on other teams to get them (park footie) success....

Come on Mal give them credit they are playing at their highest level ever and punching well above their weight, if they avoid the drop it will be an achievement like us staying in league one for three seasons.

Get someone like Brodie or Constable in until the end of the season, maybe with a view to a permanent deal. If we went down, and his team went up, then they could just go back to their original club. Or look somewhere like Ireland...Darlington got the lad Purcell from there, and he's chipped in with quite a few in the short time he's been there.
