Cracking game! I see a P. Brayson came off the bench for Cardiff, too - was that our Paul?

It would have been yeah.

Such a great day that was. I remember it being a Sunday lunchtime and absolutely boiling all day. Grayson at his brilliant best. I'll be amazed if he played a better game in his whole career.

Was this the game on Sky? I remember watching a couple of Sunday afternoon games on Sky in that period.

No, the only two Football League games we've had on Sky were Shrewsbury in Sept 99 (that was a Sunday) and Chesterfield away in 2001 (a Friday night).

This one was for security reasons I think.

And both those games were particularly poor too. Lost both, 0-1 and 0-2.

Yes it was for security reasons, I remember the Cardiff fans were patting the police horses on the nose, wasn't any trouble that day that I recall. Brilliant game though, Grayson was Superman that day!

A player from the pro/elite game. So unlikely to have crossed paths with teams like Gloucester.
