Fixture release day

My first reaction was that they could have been better. I've not been to Colchester's new one so disappointed that's January 2nd, at least we are at home first game and on Boxing day though that's a positive to the club as they normally attract bigger than normal home turn outs.

Blackpool on an April Saturday.

They really do it well ! I remember seeing hundreds of "smurfs"outside the hotel near M5 when they were going down south one end of season.jbond wrote:Hartlepool`s last game is away at Cheltenham.Fancy dress day.Looking forward to 200 odd crazy costumes!
That's one to look forward too
Home first game, Boxing day and New Years Eve...and away at Portsmouth on the last day if we need something, which could be epic. Not a bad set at all, really.
Are Orient still our most played FL team?

No, Northampton are our most played team by some way, having played them 30 times, with 11 wins, 11 losses and 8 draws.Shade wrote:That's one to look forward too

Orient we have played 19 times (including one cup game).
I don't think the first few fixtures will tell us anything. Like last season when we drew a fair few, and lost a couple, in the first couple of months, I think it might take us a while for the players to get fully accustomed to the step up in opponents of League 2. Hopefully I'm wrong though and we start off as we mean to carry on and hand out some embarrassing dickings.Robin wrote:The first few fixtures should give us an idea of how likely our promotion chances are, I think Doncaster will up there for top three, Orient in or around the play offs whilst Mansfield and Carlisle are dark horses.

The turkey leftovers will be in Grease on Boxing Day too - along with John Travolta & Olivia Newton John, I suspectMalabus wrote:Barnet at home Boxing Day...glad I'll be in Greece.
And whilst we are on the subject of turkeys, somewhat fitting that MA is still in charge at Barnet.
Mal, you are going to be missing a treat, my old son.
Cheltenham have 37 Saturday League matches scheduled from 6 August to 6 May (inclusive)
The first Saturday in each of November and December is reserved for FA Cup, while December 24 is not being used
There is always a good chance that the Easter Saturday fixture is brought forward to Good Friday (Crawley away - 15 April)
We have three Monday fixtures, Barnet (Home, Boxing Day), Wycombe (Away, January 2) and Grimbsy (Home - Easter Monday)
That leaves 6 Tuesday night games - the first being away at Carlisle (August 16)
We then have Stevenage (Home, 27 Sept), Colchester (Home, 22 Nov), Stevenage (Away, 14 Feb), Carlisle (Home, 28 Feb) and Exeter (Away, 14 March).
All of the Tuesday games, except 28 February are European Champions League dates.
