Does anyone know why there is a £2 handling charge when ordering tickets online with a debit card and collecting from the I2P on a saturday afternoon ? Seems a tad excessive, if not totally unwarranted when using a debit card

True. If you are buying a student ticket, the handlin fee would be almost 30%. How can the club justify that? Especially where a debit card is used!

The online ticket purchase software and website is, or used to be, run by Glintr (or similar) tickets.
I always assumed the 2% went to them. Or the club pay them a contract fee and keep the 2% so they do not lose out.
The ticket company are a private company and need to generate revenue after all.

2% ? Nowhere near as low as that. If we take an OAP as example, £15 for ticket and £2 handling fee. Approx 14%. Now that is some mark up!

Sorry Confused. My error. I misread. My post should read £2 not 2%.
The way I view it is that Glitnir (thanks Coops) are providing a service which I can use when requiring the convenience: I only use when buying group tickets or a specific empty seat near to my ST seat for a friend weeks before heading south. I value the convenience and am happy to pay £2. Others may not be, but that is life.

I appreciate what you are saying. However, willingness to pay does not excuse the practice. It is becoming increasingly rare to have to pay for using debit cards as a means of payment. Even Scum Air has changed their policy!

You know CTFC are always 5-10 years behind the times when it comes to digital practices.
