Despite somewhat inexplicable refereeing, don’t think we deserved more than a point today. Think we were lucky, always looked second best.
Teams are playing us much higher up the pitch , we’re unable to play out and we go for the long ball. Flinders consistency kicked long today, and with small target guys, guess what happened. Even Tozer was frustrated.. multiple times on the left we had Hussey and Greaves in space, but Flinders ignored .
I’d like to see Clements and Thomas be our mainstay in midfield for next game. I think Clements would have offers more than Ince who was poor today .. unfortunately the lad isn’t yet showing the potential that some believe is there - very nearly cost us a point with the intercepted pass across the back / strike vs the post .. boy, we got away with that one .
Good point when all said and done, though more than we deserved. Cobblers will be very disappointed tonight.
