Are there any updates on his recovery?

Should be back in September last I heard, I reckon we will go for a loan keeper for first half of the season as JP had asked Owen if he could potentially come back to us next season.

If Flinders is fit I'd be surprised if Freddie Lapworth (if he's staying???) isn't on the bench next season and, if one or t'other gets injured, we will see a loan come in. Same as we did with Flinders and Lovett. Lovett was only ever there in case of emergency for the rest of the game, and we need to save as much money as possible.

No mention of young Freddie in the article about contracts and retained list:

That’s actually just saying he has been taken on by a US football agency, not an actual club.

From reading their description, they find players to place in universities. So I guess Freddie will get a scholarship to any university which wants to take him on for their team.

Ah ok. Have we got any other promising young keepers that can sit on the bench? These days, they seem to always drift away sooner or later, whether they have come through the academy, like Lapworth, or been brought in, like Lovett.
