4-1 to Bradford. Have FGR lost it? We are suddenly 6 points above them and they were ahead of us not long ago - we have been in inconsistent form, so there's must be classed as poor. No Matt, defensive problems...they are lucky the teams around them are losing as well.

If they hang on for playoffs, they will either lose to someone like an on-form Orient, or Bolton/Tranmere.Shade wrote:4-1 to Bradford. Have FGR lost it? Newport 0-0 Bolton at the break.
Tranmere the only team in the top nine winning at HT.

Newport 0-0 Bolton. Interesting that Bolton have been on top in terms of shots and possession, but Newport have had 3 on target to Bolton's 0. Similar to when they drew on Friday, dominating everywhere except the final third, it seems.

As it stands, Morecambe have a great opportunity to close the gap in the Classico tomorrow.

Tranmere 1-1 Cambridge.
I would bank these scores as they are. Tranmere and Bolton dropping points, so a game closer to promotion if we draw.

Morecambe DRAW. 1-1 at home to second bottom Southend.
This means we are closer to promotion than we were before this week’s games.
As an aside, Carlisle are 2-0 so as it stands in 9th, level with Exeter. Five points behind FGR with a game in hand.

He can try but he won't succeed. Why would Duff make a sideways or possibly even a backwards move?
Football fans exhibit fascinating traits of human psychology. We hope that our team will win every game we play (on the inside) but hide this, to protect ourselves, behind an exterior of pessimism. If the worst happens - well, at least we were expecting it!
Meanwhile, we pretend that the entire history of football can be discounted and all the teams in the top six will win every game from now top the end of the season. Somewhere in our heads we must know this can't happen, but yet we play it out as if the unprecedented is extremely likely.
(Not surprisingly, the betting industry plays on this last trait, and people bet on how much they'd like to win rather than what is likely to happen )
Long winded way of saying - we're going to be fine. If any three from FGR, morecambe, tranmere, Bolton and Cambridge win all their games then fair play to them, I'll hand them the trophy myself. In reality it will take a lot less than that to go up

Not saying Duff would, just that Stale won’t like us going up and I’m sure if they don’t this year then MC will be off. If not then Stale is madder than I thought....Hubert Parry wrote:He can try but he won't succeed. Why would Duff make a sideways or possibly even a backwards move?
No way would Duff go to FGR. It would be a backwards move and I believe Duff is more intelligent than to chase big money on a short term basis. My suspicion is his managerial career will be like his playing career. Progression through the leagues and who know's he may end up at the top?

Duff to FGR is even more laughable and delusional than Duff to Salford.
Duff his Premier League bound. His move after us will likely be to an established Championship side.
Who knows, we may be in the Championship too by then.

Newport play tonight. A win takes them to 63 points. This is a point behind Bolton and Tranmere, and Newport have a better goal difference. Newport have also played a game fewer than everyone else, so if they do win tonight it really puts the pressure on the three other teams competing for the third promotion spot.
I hope we don’t need a win at Newport in May.

Tranmere, Bolton and Morecambe all have comfortable wins on paper, so hard to see where points will be dropped.
Morecambe at Vale probably the most likely.
