CTFC vs Crawley Town Sat 17th April 2021 Away
10:2 which tells the usual tale..... however a win, although a few alarms second half I gather. still a win is a win. Exeter and Walsall doing us proud!
Let us hope for a win at Crawley and trust the M25 is less hectic than usual. Mine is a 2-1 win with May to score first - lets face it he has to come up trumps soon surely?
JRA storming away with RD on his coat tails....constantly surprised at shades methodology and with the pack on 110. For RCS, anywhere North of Tewkesbury is 'North".....
Shade 110
Pie 90
Tir 125
Pas 130
RCS 130

Red Duke 160

Who knows what points tir has included or whether they are added up correctly.Shade wrote:The only surprise is that Pie is behind me. Must have missed a few weeks.

Why would that impact on the match?Leckyfan wrote:I’ll be amazed if this goes ahead next Saturday, and certainly not at 3pm. There’s another national event kicking off in Windsor at that time...
Possible, but unlikely, I feel.Shade wrote:The EFL have already announced kick off times next Saturday will be moved from 3pm, times TBC.
I'm guessing 12.30pm kick-offs all round.
My guess is they will delay all matches by 24 hours, and play on Sunday.

ffs. 12.30 KOs are a real disadvantage to away teams unless they can afford to stay over the night before.Shade wrote:The EFL have already announced kick off times next Saturday will be moved from 3pm, times TBC.

Same thing happened when Princess Diana died in 1997. All games were moved to the Sunday after the Saturday funeral. We best Rushden 2-0 btw.RegencyCheltenhamSpa wrote:ffs. 12.30 KOs are a real disadvantage to away teams unless they can afford to stay over the night before.Shade wrote:The EFL have already announced kick off times next Saturday will be moved from 3pm, times TBC.

However there’s a lot of FL games on the Tuesday after so will teams want to play twice in three days?

I'm as sad as the next person that the poor man died but we don't half overdo it. Was at two service stations today and his face was on all the big screens. Wall to wall coverage of the same thing over and over again on every TV and radio channel.
It's 2021. We have had a pandemic where nearly everyone has probably known someone who has succumbed to Covid 19. Not everyone is a royalist.
I hope the football schedule is not impacted too much. It's not fair on the players or coaching staff.

Don’t remember the 1997 Robins rearrangement. I do remember the morning after the accident though. The VHS timer was set to record Match of the Day so when I got up nice and early to watch I was annoyed that half the recording was a BBC news special.Fuller wrote:Same thing happened when Princess Diana died in 1997. Only reason I think they will be brought forward as opposed to put back is due to those games on Tuesday evening. This is a very different time to 1997, as we all know. Fixtures have been fitted in wherever possible all season.
There are also the options of 5.15/5.30/7pm on Saturday, of course.

The statement from the EFL mentioning time rather and date says to me that they're definitely just being moved to a different time rather than postponed.
My prediction is 5:30 kick off.

Yeah, JP Tweeted to say Friday night.
Much better for away travel, so a good one for us. The team can probably do some light training and a team lunch etc before getting on the bus, rather than having an early morning start.
More confident of a win now than I would be with a 12:30 kick off. (I assume we wouldn’t stay overnight).
Plus Crawley are away at Bradford tomorrow so they have less than three days recovery, whilst we go in to the game with six days recovery.
And gives us an extra night’s recovery before our game the following week.
Couldn’t have worked out better!
