CTFC vs Swindon Town Saturday 27th April 2019
Hmmm…… 0/0/0=0 was the main theme for our hugely optimistic forecasts; RCS failed to appear, presumably lost en-route across the Pennines or stuck in the sandbanks and still to be rescued. Shade also failed to materialise, but using the last game he gained 10 points; I refrain from any further comment, but much gnashing of teeth!
So to the other Robins from the Town where no-one wishes to live, yet seemingly thriving. Which Red-breast will come out on top and which will end up red faced? I’ll ponder this and add mine later, although currently thinking a draw as Swindon are not known for their reticence in the tackle!
Please note the extras for this game: read carefully!
So, last home game; extra points on offer:
Double points on the usual predictions: plus
Number of yellows, from 0 to ‘x’ [5 points]
[ii] Number of reds, from 0 to ‘x’: [5 points]
[iii] Time of first goal. If within 3 mins then I will count as correct [10 points], if within 10 [5 points]
[iv] If there is a cross bar challenge- hope so – otherwise ½ time is a little dreary! From 0 hits to ‘x’ [5 points]

The terrible thing is that RCS had a premonition just before kick off that we were going to lose 4-0 and reached for his phone only to have it snatched from his hand by a passing eagle who mistook the smooth, shiny casing, for a trout. All could have been saved - except the local internet cafe had served a bacon roll and had been closed down by the local Vegan Militia.

I usually post the day before the game but I'm coming in early and hot this time, and predicting a CTFC win, which means we'll lose, I'm afraid.
CTFC 3-2 Swindon
Dawson
Yellows: 3
Reds : 1
First goal: 17
Crossbars: 0. I predict the kids will only be as big as the ball and barely get it off the ground.

Not a massive fan of trying to predict 'random' things, tbh... Given that I will be trying to hold on to the contents of my stomach on an Irish Ferries crossing at this time, with Storm Hannah underway, you might as well try guessing whether me, my wife, both or neither of us will go looking for Hughy and Ralph during the journey.

After watching that debacle ((c) RCS) on Monday, I fear the worse and hope for the best, so I'll be an optimist for the last home game of the season.
