Time for a minimum price and minimum welfare standards in my view. It is clear people are too ignorant or heartless to stop demanding cruelty meat and that supermarkets and food giants make too much money from cruelty to reduce supply.
When the external environmental and ecological costs of meat manufacturing are not paid for by consumer or supplier then it is market failure. As a supporter of functioning free-markets I dislike market failure; policy must be changed to end it.
