I've been trying to get a student ticket for my son, but it only has a £15 concession available, rather than the £7 that we normally pay. Anyone got any ideas? We're already paying £62 for 2 adults, so I don't want to overpay, but would like to get the tickets booked in advance.

Why do you want to book tickets in advance.

To avoid the crush and disappointment of turning up and finding the match is a sell-out?

I raised this issue via twitter a few weeks back but didn't get a response.

The reason is that it is nice to be able to choose a seat. I quite like to be at the back and in the middle, but if you turn up on the day, you are often palmed into Block 2.

Thanks, Hubert. Yes, that's the reason. My partner is mildly claustrophobic, so we like to get seats in row B - that's all. Chances are, we'll be able to sit where we like in block 6, but it would have been nice to have chosen seats at the front of block 3 before they sold out.

Also, of course it's a lot quicker to get in if you can pick up the tickets and go in the short queue for people with tickets :) Anyway it's not worth the extra £8, so we'll just have to get what we can. Thanks for comments.

If you need to raise issues like this, then surely e-mail or ordinary mail is better than twitter as a means. If you still do not get a response then send details of the issue to the trust and we will raise it

very old thinking there Leo

Companies at the cutting edge monitor Twitter and react immediately

The only problem is that the club are not cutting edge or for that matter the trust
in general emails not replied to
comments not replied to
contact details buried

I dont tweet but if the club are going to the need to respond
Same with the trust if the have a post an enquiry then they need to respond

If they dont it becomes a name and shame

To pick what seats you want - if friends etc come with me we always book in advance so a) they can get a group together or b) get seats next to or close to my ST.

The trust took several questions today, all of which will be responded to.
But it is not active on this board, and not very active on twitter.

If you want to change this, then start your letter

"This is what I propose to do, to help the trust improve..."

Thank you Ralph and in reply to Leo
I have offered help in the past and am more than willing to again
I have posted these offers but I find it difficult if not impossible to contact the trust
Both the club and the trust fail to take the offers from volunteers on all sorts of things.
I am sure everyone is very busy but the point was that if club/trust ask for comments or receive requests or questions what are the service standards that people should expect.

Leo can you please advise the address that I post my snail mail ( aka letter) to as you suggest when you say start your letter with. Thank you for keeping up with technology and for highlighting the exact problem. I at least know the address of the black hole at the club

In a similar way Ralphy moderators should moderate and not stir or be WUM
Simple get another handle ralphy boy or revert back to your previous one ;)

Shame when a thread gets derailed by a so-called moderator making an unnecessary personal attack/snide comment about a poster. One rule for them and all that. Admin, sort it out.
