Minor point, but a slow hand clap for FGR wearing their completely unnecessary away kit when there was no clash. Hate it when teams do this.

The obvious conclusion from that then is quite a few bought tickets and decided not to bother.
If the stand holds 1100 , part of it was netted off, then there is no way there was 700 sat there

May or Bonds motm for me. Bonds was unbelievable and we'll do well to keep him. Agree Sercs also had a great game.

There fans clearly had more fight than there team, FGR were absolute garbage. There players were actually laughing as they left the pitch, they didnt care a _uck for there shirt or supporters. Up till the new year we had played some poor games, but not once did I see our players show disrespect to our shirt or supporters.
As for us, a great first half, some great team work and spirit. Alfie lethal, Sercombe superb, Bonds continues to improve. We wanted to win, well done lads

Probably Bonds best home performance. Distribution was excellent.

Whilst there are many reasons to gripe at FGR, the kit clash thing is not one of them.

There has been a conscious effort over the last few years to stop kit clashes for colour blind people, with red/green colour-blindness being the main factor:

It's why ourselves and Plymouth always wear our change kits when we play each other as well.

Ah, yes, of course. I'd forgotten about this. I fully retract my complaint then.

Interesting point.
I watched a game on the box a couple of weeks ago.
I think Newcastle were involved.
Full sunshine, one of those grounds where half the pitch is in the shade.
Very difficult to identify the teams when the play was on the sunny side of the ground.
Looked like both teams were were wearing white.
Ruined the game.

Corey O`Keefe would add something to our squad next season though ?

Can't say I noticed him yesterday. Only FGR players I did notice were their GK and holding midfielder because they were particularly woeful

Myles Peart-Harris may be worth a look at on loan, attacking mid 5 goals and 3 assists in a terrible team and his first time out on loan.
Could push on with us given how we've managed to help loan players progress in their careers.

Just seen the highlights from the cameras around the ground. Alfie's volley for the third was a tighter angle than I thought. Another to add to the list of goal of the season contenders.

Certainly don't want their LB who got skinned twice in the first half, first by Broom then by Jackson. On both occasions, they pushed the ball past him and went the long way round - and *still* beat him for pace.

One thing for sure is Big Dunc will need a target man at the top in League Two. Perhaps he could make a comeback himself….

Watching the Newcastle v Spurs match. Love the way the man on the PA announces the match score and the name of the goalscorer when a goal is scored. He’s been busy so far.
So yesterday “Cheltenham Town 3 Forest Green Rovers nil. The goalscorer Alfie May.”
Worth making a recording of :D

Looking forward to seeing what PR stunt Stale comes up with next season to try and take the limelight off the other vanity project in L2

You can have free pick of any of our players. Whoever you choose comes with a free Amadou Bakayoko.

I do wonder whether we look at Godwin-Malife from you, we probably need a right sided defender with Raglan leaving.

He wasn’t the only one. Thought they were very very disappointing in that aspect.

Freestone had it in for Oh Keith from the start. Hassled, harried, sly digs. Rattled him from minute 1.

Loved it.

He’s out of contract this summer so it’s possible. Been a good player for us for a few seasons now, well suited to the right of a back 3 as well as RB/RWB so would suit your system.

Tbf they should have been made to walk home from most of our games this season.

Chris, I have to say, you make it very hard to keep ripping the p!## with your reason, sense and humility on here
I don't want to feel sorry for an FGR fan but you've managed it.

Well given how Vince said after the 5-1 smashing at home to Barnsley ‘isn’t brilliant that we’ve got a name like Big Dunc here managing us’ I doubt he’s going to sack him.

Not sure he’d be brave enough to in any case, plus paying off that 5 year deal would be pretty expensive.

Personally I don’t think anyone can say that he’s impressed so far, a 6% win record isn’t brilliant to say the least but tbf he hasn’t got a lot to work with. Took him quite a while to learn our players names and he doesn’t know a lot about this level, or league 2 so it’s going into the unknown with what will be another rebuilt squad. Things could get a bit messy if we start badly.

Id have £10 on Big Dunc being gone by Christmas 2023. He's been absolutely woeful for you.

You do have to admire his commitment to the club though, even if Real Madrid come in for him he won’t go.
