Bannans red card now overturned so understandably Wednesday not happy.
Incident here about 4.30 in.

The Echo up to its usual standard and has a pic of May when you go on to the CTFC page. If only they could employ someone who can change the web pages (they still have a story for Christmas last year as 'latest news')

Quite ironic when you're still calling it The Echo. Must be nearly 15 years since the name change.

Good grief, I must never look at the name of the paper when I pick it up. You tell me there is no Citizen next

Just rubbing our noses in it, now.

Next thing you know, Norton will be banging in hat-tricks.

The only people getting their noses rubbed in anything, are the ejits who came up with the £250k price tag. Football geniuses will point out it may rise to as much as £300k - WOW

I basically just watched 20 mins of a player driving his car and then running around a field. But it was oddly compelling viewing. Thanks.

wouldn't be surprised if he went back Exeter when they sack the current incumbent.

If we got peanuts for Alfie that puts Pett on £5000 a week.

Wade Elliott on the Sky Sports Football Show with Keith Curle and Karl Robinson. I've only seen clips so not sure if he spoke about us - the clips were all about Jude Bellingham when he was at Birmingham.

Congratulations to Mo Eisa who scored for Sudan on his international debut last night.
Replaced by his brother Abou later.
Nice story.

Exquisite finish by Dan Crowley for Notts County.
Wouldn’t mind a good few of their players in our side, unlike Bradford. 4-0 at half time.

Crowley involved in all four goals so far with some classy passing.

Evidently so in a good team flying high who are better than the other teams. Shame he hasn’t got the drive and discipline to do it for an underdog in a higher league. Our gain was Morecambe’s loss.

Really thought this thread would turn in to Alfie watch and yet there seems to be more on Crowley of which I'm absolutely part of. I guess it's because alot of us really hoped we'd be the ones he'd click with?

Yet for morecambe he still scored 3 had 5 assists in 21 games for a poor side. We were a good side in Div2 but we didnt have a midfielder who had his total goals and assists tally Hey weve got Bonds and Keena. Remember you saying stats dont lie

After finding themselves 2-0 down, Harry Williams scores on his debut, and Sido scores from the spot on their way to a 3-2 win.

Soccerbase says he scored 2 in 21 games. They might be wrong.

One of those was in a 3-1 defeat; who knows, if they had played a good runner and presser instead they may have had a good shape and seen out a 0-0. The other was in a 5-1 win so a freak result anyway.

Stats do matter, but you have to know how to interpret them.

We didn’t have a midfielder with his goals in L2 because we had one of the smallest budgets so won the league with a very drilled shape which relied on disciplined players sticking to their shapes and positions. Plus long throws. Pretty dull at times. As the podcast guys said this week, luxury players never work at Cheltenham as we are always punching above our weight so need a squad of hard workers and close-knit spirit.

I’d love to be able to have a player like Crowley without it disrupting the team. But until we are in a position where the rest of the team is good enough that we don’t need him to play the team shape and run it is counterproductive and like setting up with 10 players. May was the reverse; a player who ran and pressed so much it was like having 12 players.

There is, of course, always the possibility that he has actually improved over the last couple of years. He's had more clubs than I've had hot dinners. The penny had to drop at some point if he wanted to do anything with his career.

Yes very true. He may have realised what it takes to be a pro in the EFL and knuckled down and improved.
