Mo Eisa and Abo Eisa released. Double Eisa!

Although Abo is apparently lazy according to Grimsby despite the 9 goals in 32 games

I’d definitely take Tozer back tbf. Leadership, organisation, and that throw is still a weapon. Will be interesting to see how much money he asks for, though, after that big pay rise to go to Wrexham.

Tozer was a key player for us and although I'm not advocating he return to us he would be a like for like replacement for Curtis Davies.

Interesting to compare the 200k we held out for when Wrexham signed him as a 31 year old with and the 250-300k we are getting for Alfie.
Both of similar age and a year left on their contracts.
Proven strikers usually command at least double that of defenders.
Both wanted to triple their wages but Tozer seems to get a lot of stick compared to Alfie.

Because he downed tools, demanded the move and left without so much as an "it's been emotional". At least Alfie eventually sent us a goodbye message.

He did threaten to down tools though if we didn't agree to let him go in the summer.

Tyrone Barnett (Leamington) got the better of Jordan Cranston (Redditch) in midweek in the Southern Central Premier League playoff. Woeful game but good hotdogs.

Kyle Stoz Storer awaits in the final on Monday.

Hasn’t played since 16 March. Still very early to judge, but he’s basically had 4 weeks of his EFL career where he’s a) been fit and b) scored goals.

As it stands, we did a cracking deal there.

Well done the Board and football management. Hopefully if Oxford go up we will get a bonus payment.

If ( and it's a big if) Oxford go up to the Championship surely there will have to be investment into the medical/training/recovery side of things, access to more high tech medical treatment and diagnoses who might be able to get to the bottom of why Goodwin picks up so many niggles and is out for weeks at a time?

On the other hand, it might just be that he's young and enthusiastic so needs a bit more experience...

And then releasing the funds to get Jordan Thomas which could turn out to be another great bit of business.

Just had a proper "wait, what?!" moment. Apparently Jermaine McGlashan has won the first promotion of his managerial career, taking Croydon up via the play-offs. As surprising as it is that McGlashan has gone into management, (to me, he didn't seem like the type of player that usually becomes a manager), I think I already knew that as someone posted it before. The thing that most surprised me is that his girlfriend is Maya Jama  don't know why, was just very unexpected. Unless it was just bad grammar in the article on GlosLive. ;)

Oh, and Chris "Jailbird" Zebroski is his assistant at Croydon.

Maja Jama is Stormzy's girlfriend so just loose grammar as you say.

Jermaine has a Uefa A licence
plus a BA (hons) in broadcasting and sportswriting so he's clearly quite driven.
He occasionally responds on X to Ctfc related topics too.
People always questioned his end product for us, but I always enjoyed watching him nevertheless.
Distinctly remember him destroying Danny Andrew when he was playing for Aldershot.

Well done Jermaine.

Yeah. He was quick and skilful. If he’d had reliable end product he’d have been playing in the Championship, not in L2 with us.

As it was we had to make do with occasional flashes of brilliance and that was fine by me.

And Agent Grant McCann has seen to it that we're no longer the only team to have blown a 2 goal first-leg play-off lead at home. Fair play to Crewe, but gutting for Grant after that incredible run to then blow it like that.

Assuming he stays and keeps the majority of his team together, they've got to be up there amongst the favourites next season, I'd imagine. After all, we won the same division the season after similar play off heartbreak.

Not used properly and his goal ratio looks good against our current bunch (Matty Taylor excepted)

Not used properly?
He was a centre forward playing at centre forward so I'm perplexed.
His hair always looked nice though. 😀

Torquay have said goodbye to interim manager Aaron Downes after he steered them away from a potentially catastrophic relegation.

Here's the new owners novel way to introduce former Argyle favourite Paul Wotton as the new manager.
Also featuring their new Football Advisor Neil Warnock.

Paul Wotton’s brother played for us in 1995/96 I’m
pretty sure. Can’t remember his first name.
Am I correct?
*update … it was Gary. Played in 1996/97 too. Might have been in the side that drew 0-0 at Peterborough in the FA Cup 2nd round in November 1996?

Curtis Davies doing some decent punditry on Sky now alongside Neil Warnock who astonishingly said the ref is having a good game.
Cripes that's a first!
