Hotly anticipating this weeks episode and the team selection predictions for Saturday. So many plausible options - hoping the discussion will cut through the fog in my own mind.

There will be but due to circumstances we were only able to record last night.

We're hoping it'll be out today, but sometimes life gets in the way.

Just realised this may have sounded a bit off - it certainly wasn't my intention.

We love doing the pod and it still blows my mind that people listen to myself and the others waffle about Cheltenham Town.

We think we have a plan in place for the next couple of weeks, so hopefully next week's and further on will be out sooner in the week.

I’m half-way through and thought MH hit the nail on the head when discussing people being so quick to question Flynn and linking this to comms coming out of the club. Since their appointments, neither Flynn nor Johnson have done anything to build a rapport with the fans or give more insight into decisions taken. All we’ve seen is players leaving, usually without explanation. Meanwhile, the board of directors have successfully maintained their appalling comms streak, just when you might have thought they’d try to do something to address that embarrassing performance at the forum.

Enjoyable pod again chaps.
I do find it really concerning that for a perceived family club with the Supporters Trust Fan Elected Director, there is such a disconnect between the boardroom and supporters. Time and again points are brought up, changes promised but never fulfilled.
We hear that our communications are p!## poor so they’ll improve… but it doesn’t.
I rejoined the Trust after their ‘building for the future’ vision but that’s all gone quiet, when the membership is up for renewal again, I don’t see the point in renewing as I don’t believe they can implement the changes required.

Will drop JY a line.
FWIW, I don’t think the Trust are the issue, their document was a breath of fresh air and much needed. In my opinion it seems the club have done their best to try and quash it.

Anyway, I’ve taken this thread off track a bit so apologies, looking forward to the next podcast.

On the plinth sponsor and what else could we sponsor chat, it occurred to me that most L1 and now quite a few L2 clubs have electronic advertising boards.

With so many games on TV now the scope for making money on these must be much greater, especially for larger corporate sponsor as opposed to the local skip company. Newport’s were very effective.

I know they can be harsh on the eye and distracting, but it seems to be the way we’re heading.

Maybe then the scoreboard can be used to show the score and time...?

I didn't say it on the pod, but I do think we'll have the electronic boards by the start of next season at the latest.

Have you heard anything on that then Si, must admit I haven't heard anything but it does feel like a revenue generator we are lacking behind other clubs on but installation is not cheap I think Notts County spent £100k to get theirs done.

Presumably if we get this done it will only be behind both goals and maybe the west side corners at least until the new main stand is eventually built.

I've not heard anything - I just think it's inevitable.

We had them for the City cup game and this company that are sponsoring the ball plinth are specialists in that sort of thing. Put 2 and 2 together.

We will not have a new Main Stand within the next 10 years in my opinion, so waiting for that before we do things is going to be a hell of a long wait.

I agree the new main stand is still along way off but I can't see how you can have electronic boards on that side untils it's done so we are limited them to the goal sides and corner areas i.e. canteen and PRE areas. You wouldn't have it the side the camera is on typically.

The City game had them up to the dugouts - which covers about half of the pitch. I don't see why they couldn't do that again.

I'd completely forgotten we had them for the City game.

I’m sure most supporters will agree with the talk of players, formations, opposition etc, but I was most interested in what James Young had to say about the Trust and “Building for the Future.”
I truly believe the future of our club is accepting what James and the Trust propose.
Have a listen, it’s around the 43 minute mark.

Can’t believe that ‘CTFC fans lack patience’
How many home games have we won post covid…not many.
We have been more than patient, the club are fortunate to have docile supporters who clap for a lack lustre draw in Chesterfield.

Not just about accepting the Trust proposal but looking at the findings and acting on those as well!
