Former players

Not technically a former player as he’s still contracted to us but Tom Pett is in the starting line up for Oldham v York City tonight, along with Charlie Raglan.
Billy Waters on the bench.

Best wishes Carl. Eight years since he first signed for us and his contributions helped us stay up in our first season back in the EFL in 2017.paperboy wrote: ↑21 Jan 2025, 11:16 Leaving Shrewsbury for family reasons.
Wish him well.

“The Cod Army had the measure of their fellow mid-table opponents from early on and went in front just after the half-hour mark thanks to a sweet strike from Ryan Broom.
The former Cheltenham winger reacted first after Phoenix Patterson's free-kick was headed away to hit a fizzing drive that took a slight deflection on its way past Craig MacGillivray.”
“Broom will now have a short run of good games before being anonymous until the summer.”
Talking to a Fleetwood fan about Bonds. We will all be surprised to learn he’s been “ok” but not had a proper run in their team due to injuries…

D'Auria- Henry was not "disappointing ". He got injured and went back to his club for treatment.
But he's now at Farnborough, which is disappointing. He was supposed to be a decent signing for us, and now he's in the second(?) tier of non-league.horlickfanclub wrote: ↑23 Jan 2025, 10:32D'Auria- Henry was not "disappointing ". He got injured and went back to his club for treatment.
Only 5 appearances in the league, and one in an FA Cup game we lost. The rest in the cup hardly anyone watches. It was the first half of the season when we didn't score for 14 or 15 games in all comps that he made most of those appearances, iirc. Don't think he played much of a part once we started finding our feet and all those loanees were sent back in January, so not much to remember.

He had a bad injury. It is hard to get clubs to commit to a contract when you have not played much football.I reckon he will make it back up the leagues. He may have other options and prefer part time.Shade wrote: ↑23 Jan 2025, 12:18But he's now at Farnborough, which is disappointing. All I remember about him was having an absolute horror show at Exeter in the game which probably decided Wade’s fate. He looked completely bewildered. Unfathomably it took until about half way through the second half before Wade finally hooked him.
In fairness, he wasn’t the only one having a disaster that day.
The lad’s done well.

Good luck to him. He has talent that just needed games. I think it was on here that someone predicted he would be a Conference player this season. I wonder if they will comment.Fuller wrote: ↑24 Jan 2025, 16:17 The lad’s done well.

I saw Pett assist from a corner, Billy Waters in attack, and Charlie Raglan at the back for Oldham in a 1-1 draw at Gateshead today:
Ok not a former player, but a former coach.

Hopefully it pisses off Cardiff and they realise the error of their ways.paperboy wrote:Underwhelming start at Exeter for Joel Colwill and benched lately.
Team going through a rough patch and they've just signed an attacking midfielder.
Feel for the lad who seemed perfectly happy here.

Cardiff got absolutely humped at Elland Road yesterday. They’d do worse than to recall him and get him in their starting line-up.
With a bit of luck, their manager (if he’s still there) will announce he was wrong about it as publicly as he announced he wanted him to go to L1.ctfc-fan wrote: ↑02 Feb 2025, 12:01Hopefully it pisses off Cardiff and they realise the error of their ways.paperboy wrote:Underwhelming start at Exeter for Joel Colwill and benched lately.

Every time I’ve seen Exeter’s score since Colwill left us, they’ve been hammered.
