I agree shade...maybe what ever illness Angol had effected the balls of his feet or calfs....which made it impossible to jump.
Our medical team maybe gave him too much of somthing too...that made his hand spasm when the ball was near his head.
Joking aside...I expected more.
Seems a few very strange choices recently.
Dulson seemed like he would kick on yet was shipped out
Cheltenham Town v Chesterfield

My first view of CTFC on Saturday and having read through this thread, here are my (random) thoughts.
A very poor game of football, I don't really get Flynn's post-match comments bigging up Chesterfield, since I didn't think they were that much better than CTFC, aside from taking their chances.
That said, it's still early to be jumping to conclusions - wait til they're 5 - 10 games in, or at least til after the window has closed, when everyone will know where they stand. On which point, while some may be beginning to wonder about Flynn, I certainly wouldn't write him off just yet, if only because who will they get to replace him who's likely to be an (instant) improvement?
Beyond that, I think one or two are being harsh on Miller - pretty thankless task in that role in that sort of game (imo). By contrast, I try not to be one who makes snap judgements, but on my first ever viewing of Angol, I thought he was beyond awful. This was not just because of what he did (or didn't do, to be accurate), but also because his whole attitude/body language was dreadful - constantly seeking excuses when he had none.
P.S. I agree the ref wasn't great, but I think the criticism of him was over the top - certainly didn't make a difference to the result and tbh. his "performance" was no worse than many of the players out there (both teams).

I very much agree with this paragraph. Whilst Miller might not have got much change out of McFadzean (not surprising given how much he was allowed to have his shirt dragged off him, etc...) at least he didn't stop trying, which is more than can be said for Angol. Flynn did say Angol had been ill, so I'm living in hope that there's an explanation there, but many more performances like that and he may well reach Scot Bennett levels of scapegoat.Wellwisher wrote: ↑13 Aug 2025, 14:57 My first view of CTFC on Saturday and having read through this thread, here are my (random) thoughts.
