Forget an experienced manager, we need Jesus.
Well most experienced managers are going to say no thanks if they've got any sense.
Wonder how MG's interviews are going.

Send for Neil Warnock!!!!!

Barring a miracle, we’re down. My main concern now is the double drop to the NL South/North.

This load of s#!t today gets absolutely battered in the National League

Remember folks, the club were sad that GJ resigned. They thought he was doing a sterling job.

I don't think it needs a miracle, far from it.

We're not adrift, and we've only got to improve enough to get above two teams and not four.

The new guy is going to have to hit the ground running though.

.....then we'd probably be put in the North division rather than have lovely trips to the English Riviera etc.....and we'd probably have one of the smallest playing budgets again obviously.

Why on earth didn’t Downes sub those on yellows at half-time. We couldn’t afford to go down to 9.

Complete ineptitude!

He is wondering if Europe can hang on to take the extra point in the last foursome

Our Beazer Homes runners up would be battering this shower of s#!t.

Is this going to equal the Crewe score, or two in injury time to beat it?

Fair.

I accept that the memory plays tricks, but I don’t think September 2023 before Clarke/Murray felt as end of days as this. Maybe it did, I’ve forgotten, and all is not in fact lost.

No, I don't recall us having players sent off and losing by more than 2 or 3 goals then.

Yeah this is far worse. I never felt those players were that bad (as proven when DC came in), can't say the same for this shower though.

Have to admit I haven't been watching adamantly, between looking after a baby, the rugby, and losing interest, but has any player come out with any credit at all?

PMA time.

The club as a whole needs to reset, forget this result and move on. If we fester on this result it will only affect the mindset of the players and management.

Get those interviews started if not already and ask Cotterill to come in and lead us temporarily (unless he’s already decided that’s a ‘no’).

Next home game, all supporters get free entry and fill those stands

Halliwell putting all the blame for losing 7-1 on Pell and Angol. Even if they hadn't, it would have probably ended 5-1.

Downes and Vincent have been sacked and former manager and now President John Murphy to take charge.

Downes had zero chance of getting the job and that's why he didn't apply. Downes and Vincent should be handed their P45's tonight.

An hour since full time and no media updates from JP or Radio Glos. This is unusual.

I didn't ever feel this down before Clarke rocked up. Why, because even if it went to total shite, we were heading only to L2, not the NL.

An unusual day no?

No interviews so as David Lloyd says " start the car" and who can blame them.

Apologies to Aaron, he's come out to face the music.

Trying to find a silver lining in the dark clouds and it’s this. Cheltenham are only two points adrift of third from bottom and ‘safety’. A new manager is coming in and there are a few players to come back from injury. Yes it could get worse. We could lose in the FA Cup at home to Basildon or Billericay town or FGR!!!

The first thing the club should do on Monday is implore the FA to upgrade Pelly's two yellows to a straight red.
He'll miss 3 matches then and the new manager won't be able to pick him.

Ive only seen the highlights (thank god).
Yes there were a couple of words class goals in there.

But the body language of the players...says to me that bunch has all but given up already.

9 players or not you still have to frickin tackle or be physical

Goal number two: A bit of interplay by Grimsby carves us open. Three players in front of Walker but standing off with zero closing down.

Goal number 4: Archer backheel on the touch line, a shanked clearance, Grimsby player unmarked at the back post

Goal number 7: Five Grimsby players in the six yard box marked by two defenders + Day. By this point Grimsby were playing an overload session in training.

Goals one and two as good as you'll see all season.

Which ever manger comes in...needs to drive Archer to Luton on the first day. Been stinking the place out all season. Like playing with 10 every game.

As previous posters has mentioned ...at least Wilcox and Tustin have the required desire
