Sure is Nesty. Must be one of the best match day squads we have had.
Biggest game of the season so far. Let’s hope we turn up and turn them over.
On iFollow I assume?

Balls. Thomas loses it and then we never recover.

Oh my oh jeez that was tense. What a match. A proper promotion battle. The last five mins and injury time lasted a week.

I feel for the Northampton fans. Imagine watching that kind of football every week. That said, they were a real threat and we did not deal with Morton at all.
Ground out a result without playing all that well. Evans really needs to sort his distribution and Tozer and Thomas were guilty of gifting the ball away in silly areas.
Broom is a cut above this level.

Actually, with Northampton concentrating on making us play the long ball from the keeper, as often as possible. I thought Reid was the right man to have as a #9. Varney did seem to link up with May a bit better, when he came on.everyman wrote:I would rather start with Reg.he`s more mobile than Reid and we lacked that in first half.Ben3 wrote:Also Reid had an absolute nightmare and varney did really well. We're lucky to have both to swap those roles around week on week !

Keith Curle's post match report reckons we didn't have many chances, here's part of it
"It's disappointing because I think they had one bit of interplay when Dai (Cornell) made a good block and not much else". I'm sure these managers watch a different match to anyone else.
For me I was on the edge of my seat with a sore throat, havn't been this excited since my wedding night

I thought Northampton looked pretty decent, especially in the opening 15 when they put pressure on us at the back, a tactic that worked for FGR and Plymouth. They shaded the first half, we shaded the second, but I was pleased with the way that we kept going and grew into the game, and then were able to step up a gear when Varney came on.
