Not sure if promotion or goals scored were part of that though.

£300k (just) for a striker that's scored 20+ (league) goals in the last three seasons.

Met a Donny Rovers fan tonight. He told me they were 20th 9 games ago. 9 wins in a row and they’re 8th, with a shout of the playoffs. Good going Grant McCann

Barnsley top six since 3rd October. Sack the manager with one game to go…. :o
Didn’t FGR do the same seven years ago?

Doubtful - he's not well liked because of the way he left in the summer.

He's still well liked here - about the only place! Maybe he's done with commuting and fancies another stint after DC inevitably leaves in a few weeks...

Amazed to discover that Summerfield was only 23/24 years old in his season here - he looked about 30 back then, thought there's no way he could still be playing now!!

:) always struck me as someone who would have fitted in to Melchester Rovers and be called Alfie, or similar

Grant McCann a true Robins great. Really nice bloke too. Sat with him at an end of season dinner 20 years ago.
One of the few good things Bobby Gould did during his time here was getting his permanent signing over the line from WHU.
Best wishes Grant and hope to see you at Whaddon Road in League One next season.

Just seen that the legendary Danny Wright, who got 22 goals and 10 assists on the way to the National League title, has announced his retirement at 39. He made more appearances and scored more goals for us than any of his other clubs and, of course, we made his dream of playing in the Football League finally come true. I can't believe it's 6 years since we released him already. Although obviously not as prolific in League 2, he still scored 9 in his first EFL season.

Jacob Greaves awarded three player of the year trophies at Hull - players’ supporters’ and the Liam Rosenior award (whatever that is).

Very clear what a class act he is when he was here. Could be in the Prem next season either with Hull or someone else.

Burgess was also man of the match

And Wes Burns creating the first for Kieffer Moore. Burns was outstanding.

Serious question;was there a 'top scorer in the division' clause for Alfie, or was that just wishful thinking? Moreover, was it tied to promotion?

Seemingly there is. JP has tweeted it is £20,000.
