Of course - people are people. Unless it is a racist joke, which this isn’t.

I saw people on FB get called a racist for making numeracy jokes about Diane Abbott... When they asked how, they were told to "check their privilege" and "if you don't know, then that's the problem."

Well that depends on the person’s motivation doesn’t it... most people would have been making jokes about someone being stupid, but I am sure a minority were just enjoying an opportunity to attack a black woman in a way they could claim was not racist.
