Oddly, our 30th game last season was Scunthorpe away, but it was 8th Feb, not 27th.

We lost 1-0. We were 7th with 48 points. 12 wins, 12 draws, 6 defeats, +19 goal difference. Swindon had played 2 games more and were on 60 points, then Crewe and Exeter one game behind on 58 and 57.

Ten wins (as per the countdown) pretty much gets us to the next target.

Comparing the table further vs after we had played 30 games last season, given that this has been a "special" season, top is 5pts less on the same number of games, bottom is 2pts better off having played 3 games less. Grimsby actually have 29pts after 29 games, last season Morecambe in 23rd had 27pts after 32 games.

Last season the bottom two (not counting Macc who had points lost) were the worst in L2 for some time. A travesty that both Stevenage and Morecambe retained their status, really - two clubs going bust saved them. Credit to Morecambe for turning it around.

If we are better off than this time last year, and the top two are worse off, that bodes very well.
