Probably is another unknown but those free agents who haven't had a club since the summer must be getting pretty sweaty now. Thats a long old time to not be playing football and not being paid because of ego and pride.
Wes Mcdonald....played for DC at Walsall, recently released by Patrick Thistle.

Looks as if he hasn't really been given a chance at Championship level and 23/0 at Morecambe whilst scoring a few in L2 might mean that this is a signing for next year if we go down?Artemis wrote: ↑03 Feb 2024, 20:25 Wes Mcdonald....played for DC at Walsall, recently released by Patrick Thistle.

I was trying to remember where I'd heard that name recently. Good shout Fuller.
Christian Norton had lots of pace...
Darrell is a dog lover I reckon and likes bringing home stray dogs to train and cuddle.
Pardon the pun but this policy could come back to bite him if things take a downward turn.
Crikey now I'm trying to recall that woman who had a tv show training dogs decades ago!
Just offer him a 2 and a half year contract, that could swing it.
Drifting off topic, if I was Sercs I'd be thinking " I'm 33, can I have a two year extension please"
After all the goals he's scored against Pompey surely they would be in for him?paperboy wrote: ↑04 Feb 2024, 11:44Just offer him a 2 and a half year contract, that could swing it.

5th, 11th, 15th in their last three seasons. Currently 13th with money in the bank from playing Man U on TV, and 52% of the club has recently been sold to the guy who bankrolled Swansea to the Premier League.

We don't need someone else to sit in the stand. Last weekend we had Freestone,Bradbury,Olyinka, Sloggett,Horton plus the eighteen. We also have Sambu,Liggett ,Walters and Willcox trying to progress. Smith and Thompson left because they were not starting. Many more and grumbling will increase.
But Olayinka and Horton know they're not in the plans, the kids know they're not getting a game this season, and none of those mentioned "first teamers" are forwards. Another injury to one of our attackers and we're light again.

Sorry, I forgot King. Despite the " not in plans" and not old enough cliches they are all getting paid and should be part of the team squad. My point is that is being eroded. A few weeks ago the Manager was looking for signings to come in to the eleven. Now we have Thomas another wide player would struggle to get on the bench.
Probably in our Southern League days! Half the squad were non-contract back then, could come and go as long as seven days notice of approach was given.
Actually just thinking during John Ward’s reign we had a lad called Tommy Manship who I think was non-contract?
