Team news, live updates and reaction all here this afternoon: https://www.gloucestershirelive.co.uk/s ... rs-9074022
Terrible. My cat could have put that away. We HAVE to put simple chances like that in the net, it was a tap in.
And then what happens. They get a corner and bundle it in. Our end to end football is as good as it’s been this season but our finishing and defending leaves a bit to be desired!

This is bloody embarrassing! We’re just handing them the game.
We don’t have anyone who looks capable of putting away chances and half chances on a regular basis since Alfie May left. Let’s hope these new signings can put this to rights.

Just a completely pathetic effort. This is why those losses against derby/Bolton were so bad, we always say 'well if we play like that against worse teams we'll be fine' - but we always f#!$ s#!t the bed when it matters. And pompey aside, when was the last time we gained any points after falling behind.

Just realised their centre half (number 17) is Josh Low's son. I suspect that might be the highlight of the afternoon for me.....

Poor, a really flat performance. As mentioned, it seems like we need 15 chances to get a goal and then we pretty much gift one away.
Southwood dodgy on first goal, midfield not pressing like normal and front pair lacking presence. A couple more like this and we can start planning for next season.

We started really well. But we no have turned into a long ball side completely . We seem unable to change the way we play .
The stuffing has been knocked out after the second goal.
We’re being completely overrun in midfield . Wycombe winning every ball . We have nothing going forward
Surprised we start Keena . That’s a sure fire way to have a blank scoresheet . He needed loaned out during the transfer window to L2 for some confidence building .

We're not out of this yet. Wycombe are pretty s#!t, we have been worse but we know we can do a hell of a lot better than that balls. If we can get something going early second half we can still get at least a point.
Was it Macc we played when Varney scored that acrobatic goal and we mounted a comeback?

I'd say the defence should have rather than Southwood. Free run from half way in the first half is a disgrace. Southwood's all around play has been the same as everyone else's. Well off it.

The drop-off in intensity without Street is alarming. Given that’s been the recipe to our improved performances, it’s a worry.
The change in formation may need to come sooner than we think as a roll of the dice.
Wycombe are poor but we were well off our usual levels then.
Early goal please.

At last. Somebody out there who can score goals. Why wasn’t he starting?
………..and whilst we’re ranting, that was never a penalty. Their player cut back and just dropped to the floor and the ref fell for it. Why didn’t the Lino see it?

Could today be the day that even the most optimistic fans realise that our fate is now sealed? Even if we come back for a miraculous draw today we are done. We have to start closing the gap on the teams immediately above us.
The Wycombe commentators call him JLO.Benny Profane wrote: ↑03 Feb 2024, 15:48 Just realised their centre half (number 17) is Josh Low's son. I suspect that might be the highlight of the afternoon for me.....
Thankfully not but everyone on here was moaning that we got the dregs and not our first choice targets and I’m glad DC is manager.
