We’ve reached the part of the game now where Cambridge players are dropping to the floor every time someone breathes on them, and the Ref buys into it!

Haha

Remember the folk who would have preferred we kept Goodwin?

Bless them!

Taylor is a good player. Goodwin is a great lad - but a camel.

Bless those folks who whined about it

it would appear that you are the only one with the inside track that we could only have one of the other. How jealous are we

Hi Garby. Nice to speak.

Goodwin was sold and a few vocal idiots kept going on about…’oh he’s our best striker’

Let’s have it right - he was awful and scored 0 goals in 11 games at the start of the season.

Those people now will not pipe up, even though we’ve got a decent striker that the manager and board chose. They’ll just pretend they didn’t say that stuff.

So! - bless those folks who whinged on about Goodwin and are not on here today saying how wrong they got it. I won’t have a go at them but it’s absolute basics

Oh - bring back broom :)

Imagine having Taylor and Goodwin up front. We wouldn’t have signed Nuttall.

It really is tough but the green shoots are there. I think we all need to thank the board and the manager for having a fighting chance against all the odds

We've had a few really crucial wins over the last few years against Cambridge haven't we?

Not convinced by Smith or the makeup of our forward line but alot of good performances throughout

We had a player called Micky Nuttall way back to late 80's approx. Don't think he played more than 10 games for us before transferring to Wycombe. Imagine Goodwin with long curly locks and a tan!!!

Lovely professional performance today. Excellent performance from Southwood, Pett and Sercombe class as usual and shout out to Lloyd for his endless effort and hold up play. Proper ‘we aren’t going down without a fight’ performance.

As an aside, we have talking recently about how we can establish ourselves in League 1. Look at Cambridge’s attendance today - nearly 7000 home fans today, more than we have ever had in our entire history. Their fans realised how big the game was for them. I wonder how many Robins fans will turn up for a massive game against Port Vale?

Equally impressed and surprised by such a large crowd today! End of the day Gloucestershire has 3 decent ish level teams and a rugby team that pulls in over 10,000 every week. Cambridge is a larger town, granted Peterborough also pull in big crowds , but they’re two large towns with an absence of competition from other sports beyond errr rowing and punting?

Check my previous post before commenting.

All our players were s#!t under Wade.

That's why the team managed 1 point.

I prefer to discuss football with posters that attend games!.

Say no more really!

I liked Broom

Cambridge were a Second Division club for nearly a decade in the 80s and 90s. In 1992 they finished 5th and got to the Second Division playoffs losing in the semi-finals to Leicester (who then lost to Blackburn who became Premier League founder members).

Granted, they haven't been great in the 21st century, but under John Beck they built a decent core support that endures to this day.

Port Vale is kid for a quid which will help. The CF is already looking pretty full in blocks 1-5. Block 6 is about 50% full. With a week to go I'm going punt for a 4500+ attendance.

It was very, very tight. Not sure he was offside. Probably wasn't the way it's going.
George Lloyd works so hard we love that, but he has to add goals/assists to become a great Robin ?

Creating space and chaos for others to exploit and score will do for me. And that's what he seems to be doing well.
