Bare bones. Do we even have any fit senior pros who aren’t in the matchday squad today?

As long as there are a few on the bench, that's all that matters really. This is what the squad is for, step up when the time comes. And the time is now.Broadway Brian wrote: ↑01 Apr 2024, 13:22 Bare bones. Do we even have any fit senior pros who aren’t in the matchday squad today?

Jesus. I hope they're saving it for the game because in the warm up they did I think 6 drills where they pass it all round the team before working it inyo the box for a shot and missed all 6, and then shooting practice, Keena scored one and they all missed/had svaed the other 10/11 attempts.
Need to get a grip in midfield. Luckily they don't score many or else we would be out of it.
Need to target Sweeney in these conditions. Perfect for bringing Thomas on later to go at him with him having a yellow and prone to giving fouls away and maybe a penalty in the offing.
Can't get any worse second half can it?

Wtf are you talking about? Second half we were by far the better side
Freestone one was unlucky but think it did hit his hand. Guess it’s just the fact it was close to his body and point blank. The late one where it was bouncing around and someone won the header and got absolutely clattered was unbelievable. Anywhere on the pitch is a foul

Over the 90 minutes Exeter were the better team and mostly controlled the way the game panned out. They worked the ball well going forward whereas we were pretty wasteful or lacked options and sent it back for Southwood to lump forward. We made a stab of it after a woeful first half but even then we offered nothing up front.
Disgraceful Refereeing. You can bet your life that if it was Bolton or Derby at home in front of a big crowd that penalty would have been given. It’s happening far too often. It’s almost like they’re being told which teams the League want to see relegated!

Game of 2 halfs. Southwood had naff all to do 2nd half. Their defence was well rattled for the better part of the scecond half. Draw would have been a fair result. Stats indicate a draw.art vandalay wrote: ↑01 Apr 2024, 16:11Over the 90 minutes Exeter were the better team and mostly controlled the way the game panned out. First half they were clearly the better side. Second half I think we were in complete control (aside from where it mattered).art vandalay wrote: ↑01 Apr 2024, 16:11Over the 90 minutes Exeter were the better team and mostly controlled the way the game panned out. Not all over yet. Cambridge run of tough games start. We can still over take Burton and PortVale. Port Vale have 2 tough away games and their run has come to an end. Reading wobbling as well. L Orient won't be in playoffs , so hope there. Players coming in all did ok which was good, because we will need them. Thomas and Olayinka did well.
Thomas is like an eel, slippery as hell. If only we got him in the box more. Not that we would have got a penalty.

If that Was a deciding game today on our league one fate I think I'd have been on the pitch after that ref. f#!$ disgusting
What the f#!$ do these refs see. He must be genuinely retarded. Send him back to special school the little cvnt.Uppy wrote: ↑01 Apr 2024, 16:37 https://x.com/omcf10/status/17748315026 ... QdvrJ00nIA

I genuinely think some of our refs are corrupt.
Sick to death of having biased refs.
1st half we should have been 3 down.
Fair play DC made the tweaks and we were far the better side second half.
Lewis penalty was very very harsh.
But to compound the injustice we didn't get any of the two big shout we had. Nothing from the lino either.
This game leaves a very very bad taste about the competence of officials....Fridays ref was very bad too.

That's even more of a penalty than I thought at the time. Shocking. Then he gives one against us for a ball smashed into Freestone who had his hands within the frame of his body.Uppy wrote: ↑01 Apr 2024, 16:37 https://x.com/omcf10/status/17748315026 ... QdvrJ00nIA

If we're relegated by a few points, it's absolutely no exaggeration to entirely blame the officiating we've had this season. Every single decision goes against us every single week. Sick to f#!$ death of moaning about it but something has to be done. Do they not understand that these things actually matter so much to teams like us who depend on the bigger gates we get from L1 football.
