I'm unsure what to make of that, are the board reacting to approaches from other clubs or pro-actively trying to tie down a key asset in hope of achieving a promotion push next year and maximizing season ticket sales. Let's hope it's the latter.

Give him what he needs, a better salary and a decent recruitment budget. I have no doubt that Darrell Clarke is our most valuable asset right now and his signature on an extended contract will put us well in the frame for another Promotion run next season. It will also help shift a decent number of season tickets.
