Have we ever played another club, that within 13 months, we and they are three divisions apart?
So we played Ipswich in April 2023 at our place and it ended 1-1. They didn’t beat us in four attempts either.
Now they are promoted to the Premier League, whilst we will be three divisions below in League Two after our relegation.
Must be a first surely?

Amazingly, Burton, almost qualify.
Played them in 2015 in L2. We got relegated to the NL and they got double promotions to the Champ. We of course, bounced straight back which may not meet your 12 month criteria?
Still remarkable, regardless.

Boston 2006? They got demoted to Northern Premier and we went up to League One?
It is insane that 13 months ago we drew with them and now they're Premier League bound and we got relegated. Football is bonkers. Much like at the start of this season when Birmingham came and beat us 3-0 in the Carabao Cup first round, and but for one or two decisions different throughout the season, we could have been playing them in the league next season...

Even more insane is that FGR played Ipswich in League 1 as well and now there are 4 divisions between them!Shade wrote: ↑07 May 2024, 11:30 It is insane that 13 months ago we drew with them and now they're Premier League bound and we got relegated.
