Well that seems pretty damning on Angol that an inexperienced attacking mid preferred

Maybe I am reading too much into but a few interesting lines here:
"We don't want to take our time, but it's something we are looking at to try and get the right one. Sometimes things don't drop how you want them. Being in the game long enough now has taught me that. Sometimes you have to take things. You might have a preference of what position you want and in order, but sometimes you can't do that."
"Getting hold of someone fit enough to come in and hit the ground running "
Does this infer we have a target but we are being sure the player is fit first? That could imply someone like Chris Martin or Callum Morton being offered to train with us to prove their fitness.
Interesting Tyreece John-Jules is training with Arsenal first team which suggests he's fit. Left field but you have Dapo Mebude who was at Kilmarnock last season former Scotland U-21 but from London. Kaziah Sterling who has scored goals in US/Canada since leaving Tottenham U-23 set-up but been without a club sometime now.
