Re: Darrel Clarke after Carlisle defeat
The reaction was down to the fact that despite it almost working against Exeter, DC still went with the tried and trusted 5-3-2 against Orient. To decide to change the starting formation for such a big game, making 5 changes to the starting lineup was a surprise. For me DC should have rung the chan...

Re: NO MORE PENNY PINCHING IN L2 NEXT SEASON
Yes it is paramount - but we've just posted a £530k loss and if we get relegated some players will leave along with a reduced budget. I'm assuming that our EFL Trophy prize money paid for Keena, so losing £530K with no big outlays on other transfer fees is extremely worrying. I'd like to know where...

Re: NO MORE PENNY PINCHING IN L2 NEXT SEASON
A strike-force is an absolute must. Replacing the May and Goodwin is paramount, which certainly hasn't happened this season. Goodbye L1 and we welcome the joys of Barrow. 😡 Yes it is paramount - but we've just posted a £530k loss and if we get relegated some players will leave along with a reduced ...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Wigan Athletic
Good performances all round but the standout player for me was Thompson - absolutely superb!
Also think Williams deserves a mention too. I’ve often been critical of him but put in his best performance for a long while.

Re: Tuesday night
I assume given the status of the game that DC was more concerned about giving certain players certain minutes - which meant playing some out of position. For all we know DC may have said to Chapman “you are never going to play in centre mid so we will only keep you as a versatile back up for other ...

Well played the Youth team. Some hope for the future. Just to add our lads beat Bristol Rovers youth 2-1 at the Mem last night. Nowt on the official website though… It’s on the Facebook page. I didn’t read it like that. Think this part is more telling …
“I'm hoping that, selfishly, it's good for me," he said. "It's a reset and a boost that, I hope, will kick me on for the rest of the season.”

I was astonished that Bonds was allowed to carry on playing after he dropped to his knees in the centre circle before the restart after the goal. What happened to concussion protocols? Watching Artell in the dugout, I always thought that he was a clown.
Then he got Crewe promoted and I thought fair play, perhaps you’re not a clown after all.
Following that Crewe get relegated and he gets sacked. Not sure how I feel about him now, but probably about all we can afford!

Re: Stevenage (H)
It's going to be a huge task for our largely young and inexperienced squad to cope with a Steve Evans team. It'll be physical with lots of dark arts and play-acting by Stevenage, which I doubt they'll have really experienced before. Hope that we get a strong ref, or else we've got no chance!

Re: Break the bank...
We tried throwing money at staying in L1 last time, bringing in expensive over-the-hill players, but it didn't work and almost bankrupted the club. I don't want to see us go down that route again. Better to keep the club on a sound footing, so that we don't end up in the NL again. I realise that's p...

Re: Robins Report Podcast
At the start of this season I was feeling quite optimistic for once. Decent squad (so I thought!), good pre-season performances and good support, both home and away. Seemed to be a feel good factor about the club. How quickly that's all turned to sh!te. Listening to the latest podcast, I've rarely f...

See Spurs want Dane Scarlett to go out on loan again. Was at Pompey last season. Probably looking for a Championship club now, but perhaps a possibility if no-one above L1 is interested.

I know they outplayed us..but I am struggling to remember if Southwood had to do a flying save all match. Will rewatch the game maybe tonight and see how many decent saves he had to make. I didn't think it'd be long before someone was interested in him, given his current form. Still, we've a ready made replacement in Dylan Barkers, so wouldn't affect us much if he went.

Caleb Taylor is on a season long loan but could (technically) be recalled in January. Raglan looks like he will be cover this season and may be released at the end of the season if we stay up. Currently Rags is backup to Sean Long (Team Captain) who Wade is unlikely to drop, despite being exposed for pace in recent games. Will probably require an injury to either Long or Caleb Taylor for Rags to get a game. Taylor is only on loan with us until January, so unless we can extend the loan or ...

If we never start him or play him again he won’t get injured so let’s do that. Wade of course was slated for ‘managing minutes’ when not starting May. Good one  Thanks. This ‘management by hindsight’ lark is easy. I said it at the time, as did others around me. Alfie was limping as he went ac...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Walsall
With Chapman, it sounds a bit like what Lincoln fans said about him when he joined us - has talent but can't be arsed . That's what annoys me most - he never shows any desire to compete. That should be the minimum for any player. He needs to be farmed out to a (much) lower team, where he might be a...
