Re: Sheffield Wednesday
Well I'm sure the new owners will run the club as a sustainable operation and **cough** not plough loads of money into getting the club out of league one with ex prem players on ridiculous contracts (with all the pomp and ceremony that comes with it and all those 'fans' that seem to have found their...

His Bromley performance was bent as hell, can't imagine much difference this week against a 'BIG' club 4th in league one.

Re: Any possibility of Safe standing (rail locked up seats in the CF block 1?
As people stand in the CF block one all game in the seats it makes sense to put rail locked up seats in this area of Whaddon Road. What are you views on this idea lads? As there is persistent standing in this area. There's areas of the ground that require more immediate attention than safe standing...

Re: Burton Albion £8m loss
I’d love to know what their business model was. Even if they won promotion there’d be no pot of gold, the stakes just get higher. And part of their £8m loss was attributed to bonuses paid to players per point, so a successful season in L1 would have likely brought bigger losses. It does make you wo...

Re: Mike Garlick Interview
Somthing I’ve just remembered from Saturday. Mary Poppins was showing on the concourse tv screens. On the positive side, at least the TVs were on. But, by crikey, we must be the only club in the league that doesn’t see the benefit of showing football on concourse tv screens. it will upset some but ...

I don’t get the issue with the bar at the training ground. It’s rented out for events so makes money for the club at the end of the day. There are also offices there. its the mindset, the building is for a professional football club to train their professional players, but there's still the old bar...

I never thought SC would be in for all 'that' after a game, maybe the emotion or maybe it needed to be done to make that connection between team and fans.
probably both.

Wise words indeed, but I still wouldn't be at all surprised if MG, later this season and next summer, begins changing things, little by little. He obviously didn't want to come in and rock the boat but has been forced to with the way things were going. I think he'll be reticent to make too many cha...

So the club which hasn't moved forward in 20+ years is now in a position to move forward but with the same people in charge that have overseen £uck all in the way of off field growth. Maybe he MG wants some stability while backroom changes are made.

He's got a media degree hasn't he? Can't he be involved in the "media" side of the club? Can't see him getting too much in the way of playing staff anywhere.
He's a nice guy and would like him to have something to do with the club but not near the first team.

Listening to Savage on the radio after their last couple of games, I have to admit he's exactly what we (and most clubs I'd guess) need. Nothing but positivity and common sense.
